Whilst I appreciate 40ppm is a lot - I just don't understand your point at all - I'm all for a bargain and saving money don't get me wrong, but life's too short to worry about excess mileage charges - v8 engines won't be around forever enjoy it while you have it.
It just reminds me of some people who decided to buy a cheap run around because there mileage changed and left the lease on the drive due to excess mileage fees. Completely pointless in my book.
Yeah most excess mileage charges are still less than what you would expect the car to depreciate. My S5 is about 15ppm, which is a lot, but then if I do 20000 extra miles in it it only costs £3000 which is a small fraction of the lease for twice the miles...It just reminds me of some people who decided to buy a cheap run around because there mileage changed and left the lease on the drive due to excess mileage fees. Completely pointless in my book.

Thanks for your reply, I would like to hear from members who did order the S4 at around the £9200 + mark during that particular period and had it go through ok and been given an order number and possible build date etc
Got my build date etc

I got a great deal that worked out cheaper than the original advertised deals.
My deal is £10362 with 10k miles virtual cockpit and metallic paint. Options alone are £895

Had a letter from vwfs today stating my current lease ends on 19/12. It said I should start visiting my local dealers to select a replacement. Are they discretely saying there’ll be a 7 month wait?
I was hoping they’d offer to extend the current car at £108 a month.
same letter today - mine ends 17/12. Going to call them for an extension - £240 on my Golf GTI DSGI was hoping they’d offer to extend the current car at £108 a month.

Can I get an opinion please..
BMW 118i M Sport Shadow Edition Automatic with Metallic Paint
3+23
£346.39pm
£1039.17 Initial
£270 broker fee!!
15000 Miles
5ppm inc VAT Excess Mileage.. of which i could potentially need 10000 as my commute may be increasing, all other companies i've been quoted 13ppm minimum!
2 series is usefully cheaper, and in my opinion, nicer. This is a diesel, which might suit for 15000 a year, but the petrol isn’t much more. https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...BMW 118i M Sport Shadow Edition Automatic with Metallic Paint

Dep £2600, 23x289, 8k miles, Incl VAT

works out just under 25% by my calcs
Fantastic car, OK price. Check Alfa Mangoletsi.Dep £2600, 23x289, 8k miles, Incl VAT

There's is a little cheaper £279 @ £2500 deposit, works out about 23 or 23% IIRC.
I got mines August last year from Unity Oxford for £285 on 3+23 so it's roughly £1700 more over 2 years than the absolute cheapest it's been. But even at this price it's decent

Good deal that. There must have been some residual value on some of the options as mine totalled £700 but only increased the total cost by £500. I think metallic probably had a decent residual on these.
No options on the Audi S4 deals add to the residual value - they are just discounted by the same rate as the car - about £31% I believe.Edited by Quickmick on Friday 27th April 17:26

I think your missing the point, the point as far as I can see is why have a car like that if you can't drive it, if you are stretching yourself just to afford it in the first place - so much so that you have to worry about adding a few hundred miles then I think its pretty obvious that it wasn't a good idea.
Realistically this is the dream from a lease company point of view - it sits on your drive doing pretty much nothing for a few years whilst you pay for the depreciation.
My friends son got an RS3 in January he pays £600 or so a month and it has sat unused for 3 weeks this month whilst he waits to get paid and can't afford to put fuel in it, the same idiot sat at dinner last week with us and told me how he'll never get on the housing ladder and the Gov needs to help people more....................
I think you're missing the point. Only someone like your friend's son would disregard a 40p per mile excess chargeRealistically this is the dream from a lease company point of view - it sits on your drive doing pretty much nothing for a few years whilst you pay for the depreciation.

I need to replace my VW Golf R in September and was looking at the Audi S6 deal last week. Are they gone now?
Struggling to find something as quick and fun as the Golf R for reasonable money.
My Golf R goes back in September too and was gutted earlier on this week when I was told the deal on the S6 had been pulled. But I didn’t give up, and I found a company who knew of a dealer who had ordered some up even tho they didn’t have the orders for them. I managed to get their last one on Wednesday.Struggling to find something as quick and fun as the Golf R for reasonable money.
Keep ringing round mate, just in case.

The broker told me I had to pay full price of any options.
The dealer was cheaper.
Wish I’d added a couple of things more but too late to now.
I reckon this is an interesting deal at £215 amortised inc metallic for such a good car to drive with great spec and finish a little above the usual culprits.

Incidentally how did the price for the car from VWFS stack up to the market. I am thinking of purchasing my golf later this year.
I bought Skoda Octavia VRS TDI DSG - 15 plate estate, 22k with Heated seats front, heated window, tints, blackpack (went a bit crazy with options for a lease - hence my decision to buy it eventually). After 2 years, one informal extension of three months I ended up paying £15,200k which below all main dealer prices for similar by at least £1k. £2.5k in many cases. We buy any car was bout £14,100 at the time.I tried haggling and they were having none of it.
So I think the price was just fair, good because I knew it hadn't been abused, that was october last year. we buy any car offered me £13750 out of the blue in feb. I don't know how much they knock you down by one the day - but I gave that offer some serious thought.

What's your story? Mine is caught up on it too, an A5 Sportback
Same - A5 Sportback 2.0 TFSI, tech pack. Ordered with Contract Cars back in December, apparently for a Q2 latest activation. Except it’s now ‘some time in August’ and I have a suspicion it may get even later. They have £900 of my cash and I reckon they might try and fight a cancellation, but i’m confident I could get the money back, in court if needs be. Not sure what to do though - if I cancel this there’s not much else going.
How about you?

I can't 'afford' to cancel as its a £303pm deal over two years - on a model now booking at £400 - £675 - so an amazing deal on a 3+23 on that model.
Anyway, I was settled. Until reading on the Audi Sport forums (yet again) of folk ordering a week before me and have their cars, two weeks after me and they have their cars. The last straw was this week when someone who ordered on 23rd March has a mid April build week! I rang Audi Press Office and discovered my order had been cancelled by the dealer and assigned a new SLI tracking number - at the time I was finally given a build week. Something was definitely wrong somewhere before that. Anyway, within hours of my call my build week was moved forward by a month, to now sit at the end of June. Here's hoping now I have a Code 10 at the factory, it will jump forward even more now to early June!
If it wasn't for such a cheap deal I'd have taken my business elsewhere. In fairness to the broker, I was given the option of cancelling and having my deposit / fee refunded. I had been told I couldn't get my fee back, but I reminded the broker it is the middle man, my contract is with them... and it's client, the dealer, has broken the contract, no me so someone has to suck up the loss off broker fee, and it wouldn't be me - try the dealer!
