Gravells Kia Bridgend doing a 1+35 on a Gt line for a few quid per month more including servicing.
The Sportage is about to get a mid life facelift (rumour is around August) so there might be a few good deals around on the last of the old versions if they need to clear stock. I assume this will likely tie in with their WLTP testing etc. so would seem likely you’d need to take delivery before September (that’s just my assumption). Some of the deals on the GT Line are pretty good, especially if you are doing low miles and can afford to run the 1.6 turbo (I was put off by the poor mpg and 10k service schedule unfortunately).

Hey there, looking to get the exact same thing - can you send me the details of the dealer please?
Are you able to PM me? I'll fire the details straight back.
Given the new VAG way of leasing if it's funded by VWFS you should be able to walk into any dealer and get the same deal, they're all on the same database now.
Unless this specific dealer is offering their own contribution it'll be no better than anywhere else.
I've had VW main dealers expressing disbelief at some of the online personal lease deals you can get. I'm looking at Golf GTI and they can't get anywhere near on contract hire compared to an average lease I find online, why is that?
This is a fairly recent thing, only the last 5 weeks or so for VWFS.
As the 2 others have mentioned, it could be down to a deal being funded by lex, arval or one of the other finance houses rather than VWFS and the other being you need to speak to the right person in a dealership, the sales team aren't really up to speed on the PCH thing, I've asked in some dealers before and they try to explain that I must mean PCP.
The fleet/business sales department is where you need to go.

Finally some dealers use contributions to make a deal better by subsiding the initial payment or monthlies for targets/bonuses or any other reason they might have.

ALD are a big player, they are behind Ford and Kia contract hire.

A4 goes back end of Feb, like the look of the Tiguan. Fair few deals available on the 2.0 TDI SE Nav approx. £7000 over 24 months which doesn't seem too bad, but not amazing:

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/main-dealer...

My question is, given the long lead times on VAG cars, should I be jumping on this now?

Not looking to add any extras.

Never heard of [ALD automotive]
They're the largest vehicle lease company in Europe, apparently.

From wikipedia : The company is active internationally... manages around 1.5 million vehicles... With a direct presence in 41 countries and with top 3 positions in 26 countries... ALD Automotive is ranked #3 worldwide and #1 in Europe by number of contracts...

Diesel Sportage though, whyyyy?
Sportage because I want a small SUV for space and practicality... and Diesel because most petrol SUVs are pretty horrible to drive...

I've answered your questions... now you answer mine ;-)

Hunting for my first lease deal, please be kind biggrin

Found a lease deal for a Peugeot 3008 SUV 1.6 THP 165 GT Line Premium 5Dr EAT6 [Start Stop]
looks good to me, fully loaded SUV
Could be my first lease but looking for some feedback from the more experienced leaser around to see if its any good.
Total cost over 36 months = £10,897/36 = £302.72 inc Vat

8k millage with £2229 (9 month initial rental) inc in the quote

What do you folks think?
Has anyone got one where they would like to comment?

I did read that there are new engines available and I think this deal is from the current gen of engines so I could be why the price looks half decent, reviews look good.

Might be worth looking for a 5008. We have one on a 6+23 12kpa and its £240/month or similar from Neva. 2.0 HDI GT Line. I know that deal isn't available anymore but they have consistently been cheaper than 3008s IIRC and are basically the same car but with a bigger boot and 2 more seats. When we looked the GT Line was a lot cheaper than the GT Line Premium, and I dont think the Premium adds much of practical value does it?

Oh, and for what we want it for we really like it (and same would apply to a 3008 except we do occasionally use the 7 seats and bigger boot)

Thanks Tom

I sat in the 5008 and I really liked the ride height and size of the car, although when I looked at the CVL site the deals were alot more, initial payment was around 3.5k and £350 a month. Would deffo prefer the 5008 over the 3008.
I like the fact the Pug looks more interesting on the inside, I like the Tiguan but not happy to wait on the never never.
I am coming from a 15 plate KIA Sportage that I recently sold (engine management light and crap dealer experience forced me down that route)

If I was looking for a small diesel SUV the Sportage would be on my list, but it would have to be '3' or GT Line spec or above for me.

If it has to be 3 years, I'd choose the Tiguan SE Nav over the Sportage 2 for a similar price:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/main-dealer...

Skoda Karoq SE Tech also similar price:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Seat Ateca SE Tech a wee bit cheaper:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Nissan Qashqai N-Connecta with Glass Roof:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Not an SUV, but decent deal on BMW 216d Sport Auto Active Tourer

We came from a 16 reg Sportage 1.7CRDI (only a 1, but the current model) and the Peugeot is a lot nicer. The interior in general is nice but there are bits of the fit and finish that wouldn't have left a German or Japanese factory like they are. But not big issues just not perfect fit/finish.

Remember to add on the £300 admin fee as well, works out as £11,200 over 3 years. If you go direct to Peugeot Robins & Day it works out cheaper at £10,800.

Has anyone seen any deals recently on a large 4x4. Thinking XC90, Grand Cherokee, GLE etc? Maybe Velar.

Current A4 Allroad Sport goes back in Feb and with some of the lead times quoted recently, conscious I may need to order relatively soon.

On a separate note, I'm also after a new pickup, current Navara goes back in November, any decent deals, for personal on either Navara, Ranger, Amarok etc?

Cheers,

W

Car going back early question

Hi, long time reader but limited poster but always appreciate the advice given here.

I have a new lease about to start with the new car having to be registered by 30th June - I've opted for 29th. My existing lease runs until 28th July with the last payment due to be taken from my account 28th June. I want to return my current car just before that last payment

I know the lease says that I have to make the last payment and arrange collection after that, but what actually happens if I arrange collection before the last payment date and cancel the last direct debit?

Any and all advice much appreciated

Thanks

I’ve been looking for months. Haven’t found a thing.
Only ones your likely to get a deal on at the moment are the smaller SUV’s, Gateway2lease have a load of GLC’s in a variety of specs in stock, I also found a few Stelvio deals but was put off by them as the back window is so small and the rear view camera isn’t that helpful.

The velar deal posted a couple of months ago have all gone now and they were the very basic spec ones.

You have to call leasing company, arrange collection and settle payment. You can't just cancel direct debit. It's just form of payment, not a contract. Call them at least 2 weeks before planned collection, which means now.

Been a pretty quiet quarter for deals, hopefully the next quarter in July will bring about something interesting.

Ready to fist a fruit on a Q3 / E Pace / Evoque deal for the other half to replace an S3 but nothing is jumping out as spectacular.

Agreed that there has not been a lot of excitement for some cars it seems. Do we know if people got served during the Audi A6 Black Edition ? the hype was in December 17

Are they likely to let you add/vary options on that deal ? I would want some nicer wheels than the standard and probably a metallic colour. Are they doing away with the 520i as I couldn't see it on BMW's configurator.
