Been a pretty quiet quarter for deals, hopefully the next quarter in July will bring about something interesting.

Ready to fist a fruit on a Q3 / E Pace / Evoque deal for the other half to replace an S3 but nothing is jumping out as spectacular.
I like the look of E Paces but again I haven’t seen any deals at all on them.

You have to call leasing company, arrange collection and settle payment. You can't just cancel direct debit. It's just form of payment, not a contract. Call them at least 2 weeks before planned collection, which means now.
Definitely this! Do not just cancel the direct debit, speak to the lease company ASAP and arrange an early collection, you may still have to pay all or part of the remaining payment but it will be far less hassle than attempting to dodge the payment (which could potentially harm your credit record).

Sportage because I want a small SUV for space and practicality... and Diesel because most petrol SUVs are pretty horrible to drive...

I've answered your questions... now you answer mine ;-)
If I was looking for a small diesel SUV the Sportage would be on my list, but it would have to be '3' or GT Line spec or above for me.

If it has to be 3 years, I'd choose the Tiguan SE Nav over the Sportage 2 for a similar price:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/main-dealer...

Skoda Karoq SE Tech also similar price:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Seat Ateca SE Tech a wee bit cheaper:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Nissan Qashqai N-Connecta with Glass Roof:
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Not an SUV, but decent deal on BMW 216d Sport Auto Active Tourer
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...
My misses took delivery of the Quashqai N-connecta / glass roof last Thursday on a lease, glad we got a goodish deal on it and it looks ok in a nice colour etc, as apart from that I'm not that overly impressed. There is so much obvious cost cutting that the customer can see its worries me about what I can't see, should of really test drove one.

At less than 200 miles its already going in for warranty work, every time we open the petrol cap door then shut it and then lock the car it gives out a 20 second beep, turns out it thinks the bonnet is open, so I have to open and close shut the bonnet each time we put fuel in. Opening the bonnet I thought something was missing then I worked it out there is no plastic engine cover its all exposed, rang dealer was told they don't come with engine covers for the 1.2t. Thirdly the horn is a piece of crap I can fart louder. No door guards. I sat in the back and he rubber around the windows in the rear are all distorted and baggy on each side in one corner.

I know its not supposed to be a premium car but it doesn't seem built to last, getting back into my 2002 Audi A3 after the Quashqai my Audi feels like its built out of granite compared to the Quashqai.

Has anyone seen any deals recently on a large 4x4. Thinking XC90, Grand Cherokee, GLE etc? Maybe Velar.

Current A4 Allroad Sport goes back in Feb and with some of the lead times quoted recently, conscious I may need to order relatively soon.

On a separate note, I'm also after a new pickup, current Navara goes back in November, any decent deals, for personal on either Navara, Ranger, Amarok etc?

Cheers,

W
I know the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk was on for about £450 3+35 and XC90 Momentum Diesel £460 on similar terms a few weeks back. Don't know if still available

You'd probably have similar feelings, albeit perhaps not quite as strong, if you got into a new A3. It's a good reason to lease - none of today's cars feel like they're going to last.

Hi guys new to the forum and to leasing

I've found VW Tiguan at 9+23, £197 per month, total cost £6303. I work this out around 25% of the cost of the car

Also found Seat Ateca 9+23, £166 per month, total cost £5562. Works out at 26% of total cost of car.

Are these deals any good?
Where is the best place to look? I'm after a SUV style car (Land Rovers and anything similar).

Not a good deal but may be useful to someone whose use case this fits?

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/main-dealer...

I-Pace 9+17 £433/month. If you factor in fuel costs it works out about the same cost as an ordinary big diesel SUV that costs £500/month 3+ so if you were going to get one of those anyway this could be a good alternative. Or much cheaper than a Tesla

Expensive on one hand, but a pretty good deal on the other hand. Bit of an iconic car in my view, a one of a kind type of car - even though its not exactly one of a kind....but you know what I mean!

I've done about 400 miles in mine and I would agree. It looks nice and has quite a few toys but it feels flimsy. I'm also disappointed with the fuel economy. Hopefully it will loosen up and improve but I have to really nurse it to get over 40mpg, even on motorway journeys. In my Leon 1.4 I would get 50 mpg easily on the same trip.

Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked before.
My super cheap Skoda Yeti is going back in a few months and I am looking to make the most of the very low monthly installments (£71.99) keeping it for an extra 3 months through the VWFS informal extension.
What I am struggling with is the insurance bit. I looked around and getting insurance for just 3 months seems to be quite expensive compared to a full 12 months, which suddenly makes the extension less appealing. Just wondering if anyone has done this before and knows of a competitive provider of short term car insurance policies?

Thanks so much

Why not just insure it for 12 months, opt to pay monthly then cancel when you no longer need it, or transfer it to your next car if you are getting one?

Just to follow up for anyone that ordered a 1.4 Audi A4/5 - my A5 SB, ordered 19th of March (with options not included in packs) is now at the port in Germany waiting to be shipped.

So far running ahead of schedule but I gather they can end up staying there for weeks on end...
