Come on guys...

If you are going to post a deal, at least post a link or describe where you have seen the deal if you are want to ask others for opinions.

Anyone driven the Golf GTE? I'm looking and seen a deal for £250pm 10k 3mth initial.

Battery Range is 30miles so I can get to work, plug in and then drive back at no real petrol cost each day.

Very appealing as I spend around £150pm on petrol, so even saving £100 would mean I'm paying out £150pm for a brand new Golf.

Anyone have any experience of EV and how the battery range performs. Is it as simple as what ive suggested above?
This sounds a pretty good deal. Where is this from?
My Bad I think after going back on contracthireandleasing website I may have been on the business leasing rather than personal.

Just seen this though at £30pm more and 6mths initial - https://www.libravehicleleasing.co.uk/personal-lea...

So basically £300pm.

you'll need to charge it at home too at night, based on the above movements. Also in Winter would you still get 30 mile range?
Its free to charge at work. Plus my work is around 18 miles, in the winter will it really drop down from 30miles to 18? Hope not. So still decent.

I have a customer with one of these and she gets about 14 miles to a full charge but I do live in hilly Yorkshire so that will make a fair difference.

I thought you meant you'd drive to work, charge, drive home, charge. 18 x 2 is 36 miles so you won't home and back to work the next day on one charge. As long as you are factoring in some petrol costs. Battery efficiency drops just massively in cold weather. I'd be surprised if you get 10 miles in Winter.

No sorry I meant id still charge at home and at work. Basically I'm factoring in roughly a 3rd of the petrol costs I pay out at present. So a saving of £100pm offset against the Monthly rental. But also the MOT, Service, Tyre savings should also play a factor. Still a half decent deal if I'm paying around £150pm in the grand scheme of things.

Looking at the new Touareg or the Xc90, 2 years 10k.

Been offered Touareg for £542.88pm with £2714.40 deposit (9p per mile excess +vat) dealer contribution will reduce the deposit by an extra £1100.

Works out around 28%....good deal?

These are very similar maths I used to make the lease of my B250e stack up.

Was previously spending £130 a month on petrol and the Merc had a range of 80 miles (worse case - winter months) and I was travelling 50 miles a day.

The lease was circa £250 per month plus £18 fixed service costs so I based it on saving £100 on the petrol (allowing for £30 electric charges) meaning a new car was going to cost me £168 per month.

All worked well until I changed jobs and now commute by train so my cost model now doesn't quite look as attractive (just something to be aware of).

Don't regret the decision and currently trying to work out what to replace it with when it goes back in December!

Touareg isn’t out until next year iirc? Unless it’s the outgoing model on an 18 plate?

Priced one up on the config today. The options are very expensive - £815 for paint. Really nice interior though.
What model spec out of the three was it you got the pricing for?

Face lift cars have been roughly the same price in the last few weeks.

Facelift will be written as Cooper II

Latest update just now on my A4 1.4 blk ed..............know others are in the same boat.......

'Yes it’s not an ideal situation as we are here to sell cars and deliver them to our customers, I am sure it will all work out in the end…. At least you have time on your side. There is no update other than it looks like the 1.4TFSi has been deleted, we don’t know if its going to be replaced by a 1.5TFSi or 2.0TFSi. once we get clear information from the factory I will be sure to advise you. Feel free to contact me at any stage if you want an update, but as soon as I have something of substance, I will let you know. Thank you for bearing with me – I appreciate your patients'

Aside from some dodgy spelling it appears I will get a MY19 car (not facelifted one just the MY19) and it wont be a 1.4. Interesting! Apparently They are looking at reducing the model variations so it could be the smaller engine in the A4 goes completely. My price will be held as the agreement is direct with Audi and they have given me this in writing.
