Hi guys I have 35k to spend on a car and can't decide between the 2 cars above. The BMW looks better on the outside and feels premium on the inside and have a more involved drive.
The audi has more electronics and extras and has a better dash and easier to drive.
After reading hundreds of reviews and watching loads of videos I still can't decide.
Please can someone who has had both or chose between help me please

Admittedly it wasn't the gran coupe, but I have driven both the 640d and the A7 (3.0 diesel) and I would have the 6 series. It seemed better built, sounded nicer, and felt nicer

BMW

Easy. Your words.

Better looking, premium on the inside. Better to drive.

You deserve decent over mediocre

End of thread laugh

If the 640d you're considering is the Gran Coupe, then we're talking about one handsome car. ESPECIALLY in red. That alone would swing it for me over the Audi.

As for the "easy to drive" comment, I'm not sure what you mean. Both cars will be simplicity itself to pilot, whether pootling around, or blatting along at 11/10ths.

I think the BMW is more engaging to drive compared to the Audi. The red BMW above looks amazing

OP have you test driven either? If not do so as that will tell you which one you want to own.

POA on the red one would make me avoid it on principle.

But in response to the OP, buy a BMW. One of the best looking cars available.

I'm in the same position as the OP.

Narrowed down to these two now and similar budget.

A7 must have the teck pack for me. 640d must have M sport plus and Comfort seats. I have a little tailoring exterior/interior wise but am searching.

Looking at AT, PH, dealers and Motorpoint.

The right cars seem to be snapped up quickly sadly but I thought at this time of year, many would be wanting to do deals or try harder to find me the right car?

One BMW in the Midlands offered a nice (but no comfort seats) 640d from £32k to £28k, before Christmas (Christmas bonus thing?). They still have it but now at £29.5K.

When is it god time to get a deal? Last week of the month?

Hi Anil,

What did you end up going for?

I am in a similar predicament. All my friends are BMW biased. I am very unfussy and just love the Audi A7 shape.

K

I've owned multiple BMWs and Audis over the last 10 years. IMO the A7 is the better looking of the two, but I'd buy the BMW.

If I had £35k to spend...

I would go for the BMW, it's just a little bit better everywhere IMO.

I like the look of the A7 think it looks superb. The 6 just seems disappointing for me. Looks to have aged badly like all BMW's and I am a bmw fan.

First thing I would do is test drive them both, then I'd buy the Audi

Thanks for the comments.

I drove a 2018 reg Audi A4 1.4 diesel Black edition early this year and wasnt too impressed.

I am going to test drive an Audi A7 tomorrow at Reading Audi and my brother in law's 530D (tonight).

I have reserved an Audi A7 Black Edition, diesel, 3.0, 272bhp, 2018 reg, 8k miles, cost is £35,750 from an Audi dealership. Think its a good price.

Consider that I have been driving a 2006 Honda Accord 2.2 iCTDI since 2011. New car took a while since I live near the town (no driveway) and I do regular Glasgow visits.

I think I'm in for a pleasant shock with both cars.
