^ According to the ad it's for sale at www.zeemotorsltd.co.uk however it doesn't appear on their site. They're N London based.

Personally I wouldn't touch it. That Civic linked above looks a better bet to me...

Current shape 1 series at this sort of budget will probably be a bit of a dog with poor spec
Focus or the options ZX listed would be better alternatives

Aaron, Where is the BMW? It just appears to be 191 miles from your postal code.
It's 150 miles away from me, it's in Edgware. Your budget would also stretch to a 3 Series, this one's in Bedford:

DRIVES AND PERFORMS GREAT + GREAT FUEL ECONOMY + HPI CLEAR + STUNNING CONDITION + GEARBOX CRUNCH BETWEEN 2&3

Bit of a contradiction there, unless their opinion of driving great is having a crunch between gears!

What on earth makes you think an OAP considering a Corsa would want a leggy 3-series diesel with a gearbox issue!

While the OP doesn't mention yearly mileage, without jobs most OAP's don't do lots of miles so a diesel is pointless (it'll cost more) and a BMW going to cost a lot more to run.

for cheap, easy and low cost maintenance a corsa is cracking value for someone who just wants to get from a to b with minimal fuss. they sell shedloads for a reason. for “car people” obviously a fiesta has some better characteristics but the majority of buyers dont really value them.

Didn't bother reading it, the fact he's interested in the 1 Series suggest he might not give a st about mileage?
