How does one go about getting these extensions?

I spoke to Graham at Hub Leasing and he said it's not likely and that they'll only extend if you have a VAG group car on order. But others on here report to have done it and it might be my best option at the moment.
Wouldn't be in a broker's interest, but fairly easy to do with actual finance company underwriting the lease.

I'm just awaiting formal quote to do this from VWFS - have requested quotes for both 6 and 12 month extension for car due back in November. Will see what they come back with before deciding whether to extend or source new car.

We've got the 3 but one is a baby so having the extra seats helps in the back so they aren't all squashed together.
Understood. We just managed to avoid a people carrier with ours...worst was when we had one in a full-on baby seat and two boosters, which was a bit of a squeeze in a 'normal' saloon but works ok in a wide-ish one like a Mazda 6/Mondeo. I liked the look of the Tiguan Allspace when I was in the VW dealer recently...just a slightly stretched Tiguan with a 5+2 seats arrangement. Might be worth keeping an eye out for lease deals on those. Probably a touch smaller than a Kodiaq but not too different. Around £300/month on a 6+23?

The % calcs are just a guide, the litmus test is, "Am I prepared to pay this xxxx upfront and xxx a month for this particular car...?"

I set myself a budget, I'm fortunate that occasionally a good deal will come up that is in budget, and is a car that I find desirable.

Edit: During leases I just pop in here and drool over the deals I could have had instead.... lol

That was the best I could find on Leasing.com too, slightly out of my ideal budget of £300 a month though.
Can I recommend that you give Graham Marfleet a call at hub leasing? I am dealing with him at the moment for our second lease car. He will get you the best deal around if he can. Got me a GTI mk7.5 on £267 inc vat on a 1+23 10k a year that I have had 12 months now.

If you could mention that John Knowles recommended you then that would be nice.

No answer on the phone so put in an enquiry.

Good price that, got my order in this week for the same Arteon 2.0 TSI 190 DSG in metallic for £360 initial + 23x £335 so total £8,065 for mid-Jan delivery. The standard Urano Grey was about £550 less over the 2 years. The dealership closest to me had the Atlantic Blue on their forecourt and after seeing it there was no way I was getting the Urano Grey!

For those looking at the XC60 T5 Momentum deals, I’ve found this for comparison

6 + 35 profile
8k miles
Initial payment £1900.68 inc vat
Monthly payment £316.78 inc vat
Link https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/personal...

Looks to be via Holdcroft Volvo so hopefully no extra fees. If my maths stacks up that works out at £371.07 amortised and no need to open a Santander bank account

Looks tempting. Where from, broker or main dealer?

Any Admin Fee?
Trailered or driven delivery?

Is that the diesel engine?

I went for Urano Grey as the metallic was being charged at full price across a 2 year lease which is a complete rip-off...would have equated to 10% of the lease cost! I know it probably looks better in a metallic but the grey has a kind of understated menacing look which I think suits it quite well too. I fancied the crimson red or the silver personally.

As an aside, the amount of discussion about Arteons doesn't seem to equate in any way to the number on the roads...I've only seen one in the last two weeks. I guess they will become more ubiquitous once everyone's lease cars get delivered!

My maths didn’t stack up! I think it’s actually only £360.78 amortised. Please feel free to correct me.

It was between the Pyrite Silver and Atlantic Blue for me. Didn't actually see the Urano Grey in the flesh and the pics online may not have done it justice. The car looks great in whatever colour to be honest, it really is a headturner! I have seen 3 on the road in the last 2 weeks however expect that to change in the next 6 months before I get mine!

No, petrol. My current car, a 2017 Tiguan, is a diesel and I can't come close to the mpg numbers claimed by VW and thought the petrol engine would make a nice change.

With the arteon though what is with the analogue clock in the vents? Was it needed?

My business partner had his Xj collected a couple of weeks ago with paper work handed to him to confirm proof of service was present, Now we’ve had a bill emailed yesterday with a £250 charge for no service history. This was also through lex.
That's a bit weird as surely these days the Jag history would be available to print out..

I do think companies used to leasing to business's just try it on - the firm I worked was routinely paying £3-500 on every car that went back without quibble. They just regarded it as part of the deal. Brother worked for another firm and they were the same.
Our deal with lex allowed non franchise servicing so long as a vat registered garage was used and we own a garage so did it ourselves using genuine parts and provided a vat invoice for them as proof. My Volvo XC90 through lex also doesn’t need dealer servicing which is a bonus when you own a garage.

Goes up to about £375 if you want 10k miles, but you're in the deal for 3 years. Goes to about £400 if you want it over 2 years, so the Santander one lets you change more often for about the same price, with nothing paid up front. Also, Santander don't charge for "non-premium" metallic paints (they're normally a £650 option).

Still decent deals though.

It is a bit odd I agree, alongside the digital dashboard. Suppose they think it looks upmarket...Mercs tend to have them too.

I've only seen silver and yellow (which I think is a bit marmite, and not for me)...as it happens a yellow one was the only one I could have had from stock last week, but the spec wasn't what I wanted. I'd have probably compromised and taken it in any other colour though.
