Hmm....9 in 10, yet a third of dealers (incredibly) didn't know when it was coming in, and half said they'd had no supply issues.motortrader_rag said:
Nine in 10- dealers (86%) believe there will be tactical registrations taking place to register WLTP impacted vehicles ahead of the 1 September deadline.....
.....This stands to create a significant spike in August registration figures – may be even record breaking

Was that my recommend? Graham the chaps name is.
It was, forgot who recommended him.Cheers
I honestly think he's the most competitive on VAG vehicles at the moment.
Just in the process of signing up for a Santander V90 deal.
https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/123contracthir...
They show the T5 Cross Country on the site at £359 x 18 with no deposit.
I've ended up going for the basic D4 Momentum as I'll be doing 15kpa and don't want to spend the extra ~£90/m for fuel (expect the T5 AWD will average 28mpg, D4 should be good for 44mpg)
They've quoted the D4 at £326 for 10Kpa, 18 months rental. 7.56ppm for additional miles up to 5kmiles, 10.5ppm after 5kmiles.
Or £369 for 15kpa (22,500 miles over 18 month term) with same additional mileage cost.
The T5CC is quoted at £419pm for 15K miles.
Metalic is FOC.
All other options are quoted at monthly cost of approx 1/24th of their respective list price.
Taking monthlies and extrapolating to 24 months with 10kpa, it comes to about the 20% mark (I know this is skewed for a bunch of reasons but I still think it's a nice way of comparing deal to deal)
To sweeten the deal - 18month term means there will only be 1 service (the lower cost one) and I might get away without changing any tyres. And I get another new car in 18m
Seems like a good deal for anyone who missed the recent V90/S90 deals. Actually, one further advantage is that this will be a factory order (I don't need till December) so it will be MY19 with the extra features over the MY18 cars that were on offer a few months back (front parking sensors, digital display, on-call, etc)
BTW, I had them quote for a bunch of other models (D5 inscription, D5 CC, etc) and they were way more expensive.
This was my 1st post, so also want to say thanks to contributors of this forum for pointing out some great deals... including this one which I wasn't aware of even thought I'm a Santander customer!

This deal looks pretty good on an in stock E Class estate. I would go for it myself but my current lease isn't up until December:
E Class Estate E220d AMG Line 5dr 9G-Tronic
3+23
10kpa
£314.94
works out <20% of RRP I reckon.

Presumably that's the 190bhp 2.0 and not the 280?
Unfortunately VW arent pushing the 280 (according to one company I spoke to) so it is very dear.If you're set on the 280 fair enough, but the 190 is no slouch. Worth a test drive IMO.

Last years deals were on the 190 as well. Dont recall any deals popping up for the 280.

I'm hoping the R is out by the time I need a car and that its on offer! In fairness I'd consider a 190 but don't need a car until April anyway. If you're set on the 280 fair enough, but the 190 is no slouch. Worth a test drive IMO.

i hope there's a flurry of activity after September as far as production and lease deals go.
Me too. The only problem I can foresee is manufacturers have to test every combination of specification possible. There must be tens of thousands of combinations on a something like a Golf. They have to test each and every option configuration so they know emissions.
I suspect that we will start to see a similar model to car sales in the USA where cars come in 2 or 3 specifications that can't be changed. It saves the manufacturer the hassle of testing all the different combinations.

Hub Leasing coming in cheapest for me for the Arteon 2.0 R-Line Petrol
6+23 at £262.42
Amortized at £317 as they don't charge a fee.
Delivery mid Q1 2019
David East at VW Milton Keynes (Jardine Motors) can do it for around £313 amortised and it was pretty much a 1+23 profile too, not much difference but every little helps and some may want the lower initial. This is for the standard Urano Grey.6+23 at £262.42

Sounds like a great deal. These are all for the 2.0 TFSI 190 BHP versions, right?Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
