Hi all.

New to car leasing. Always done PCP, some deals have been ok others when I first started not so much.

I have found a deal (SelectCar) and wondered whether it was a good deal:

BMW X3 2.0d MSport with MSport plus package and mirror package.
£1499 down
£455 over 36 months
Maintenance an extra £44pm

Could of questions,

Is the above a decent deal, what’s the calculation to check for a good deal?

Is the maintenance package worth it? It’s £1500 over the 3 years and these cars need a service every 2 years or 15-20k so I’d only ever need 1 service dying ownership. The big risk is tyres, however, I could by separate tyre insurance for maybe £200.

Because it’s a diesel over £40k there’s the additional AED tax, is this included in the lease price?

Went to a BMW dealer today and they offered this for the same car and spec:

£1500 down
£499 x48 months
4.9% apr

Road tax and extra AED tax not included.

Thanks

Thanks to whoever listed the 530e deal a couple of months back - thank you so much. The car has arrived and it's a brilliant piece of kit. Love it.
Did it arrive on a trailer? Also what colour did you go for we have carbon black on order due jan 19
Car arrives on a trailer by logisrics company called pro-drive leicester. I got carbon black its a really nice colour. Pleased with the car especially for the money.

Hi all, I'm kinda new here, but I've been a fan of leasing as kid as I just find it much better and logical than buying a car. Just wanted to ask one question, I got a seat Leon 1.4 150 bhp fr on lease 6x23 for £160 a month for my mum, now my uncle says that we are spending too much on the car, however after reading a couple of comments I think we are getting an awesome deal, if someone could just confirm whether this deal is good or not.
6x23 = £4640 over 2 years, total value = £23k, now as a percentage it works out to 20.1%. I'm pretty sure this is one bloody bargain.
I'm assuming this is an old deal?

I thought this looked fairly decent (through Vertu), granted it's a Jazz but a 130bhp little VTEC and huge practicality in a small body look quite appealing.

Just put an enquiry in, link now gone.
Seems like a good deal to me

https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/ideal-vehi...
I've just been on there website and it's " £639per month plus VAT 48 month contract, 10000 miles per annum | Initial Payment: £5,751.27 plus VAT"

However, I've obviously enquired anyway....
Did you guys hear back from them?

I’m 2 years into a 3 year PCP. At the end I have the money to buy, but although I like the car, I think the GMV was set quite high (given what is happening to the diesel market) and and replacing the warranty with the manufacturer is £100/month, so it might just be more economical to get a new car.

How far in advance do I need to look for a lease to get the best deals? Is it 6 months before for a factory order, or are the best deals available at the last minute for things that are in stock? I need to know when to properly evaluate my options.

That's the lottery I'm afraid. Courtesy of WLTP everything seems to be either 6 month factory order or in stock. Hopefully that will have calmed down by the time your PCP is up.

I've just ordered a 6 months lead time factory order S90 so now I need to wean myself off this thread so I don't see all the good deals I can't have.......

I went for Carbon Black too. Lovey colour, very classy looking.

I went for the black leather with contrast stitching. Again, all very nice.

You’ll be very happy.

Gateway to lease have the X3 at around £2k cheaper over the same term, not sure about spec but it is for the 2.0d M Sport.

Thank you. The quote I have includes the MSport Plus package and the electric folding mirrors pack.

Just looked at their prices and can only see £1200 cheaper over the term but it doesn’t show the specs.

That’s what I thought considering it will probably only need 1 service in the term and tyre insurance can surely be had for £200.

What’s a decent priced maintenance package?

I tihnk they were stock as leasingoptions offered black, white, silver and now the no charge colour is only blue, I get the impression they're shifting in stock cars that they have the most of. Also, I asked for latest possible delivery, which they said January and then I get an email saying my car will be delivered around Nov 6th. I emailed them and they said January is fine, so that looks like a stock vehicle.
