Not sure if you are interested in anything not on your list? But if you want a large well equipped diesel saloon then the Santander S90 D4 R-Design would save you some money - 1+17 @ £349 with free metallic. Tons of kit as standard including all the Pilot Assist gubbins.

Full disclosure: I'm totally biased obviously cos I've ordered a petrol one on a different now gone deal.
A uselful post indeed. Thank you. Certainly worth a thought. No initial deposit, that’s crazy!

Roughly £400 per month vs £900
Apparantly they had some build slots that needed moving

Glad to help. I can see the appeal of the A6 mind smile

Like many, my crazy cheap S4 is going back next summer and I'm thinking of planning ahead.

I'm not sure we are going to see these sub £300 (inc VAT!) again, so looking at alternatives.

I will be most likely looking at the usual suspects from BMW/Audi/Merc/ (possibly Volvo) but also have a hankering for Lexus, yet this is a marque rarely seen leased. Has anyone got any experience here - does anyone specialise in them?
As a newbie to the leasing game, why? What's the thinking there?

The market and economy has changed. Manufacturers are transitioning to new ownership models. WLTP has thrown a spanner in the works for the devil-may-care attitude to emissions. Production figures are down.

Thanks, will take a look although would probably need to be super cheap.

Is the Super the entry level model?

It's "OK". The Veloce is the one you want but they're not on offer this time unlike last year.

Still drives just as well to be fair

If the A6 is at all like the A7 I test drove earlier this year, it'll be a great car, a cut above the Volvo in terms of tech and interior quality, but pricier. I love my V90 (leased through Santander), but it's not *quite* up there with the Germans.

I've got until March 2020 in my S4 but at this rate I'd def look at extending it for 12 months if the numbers are right. Right now that would probably be the best option for those that have leases they are happy with.

Do we typically see more and more deals come up towards the end of year?

Golf R has to go back soon and I assume a lot of companies will want to finish the year well.

I may do this......I have a golf-r on a 24 month PCH which i'm quite happy with. While I would like something new just for change I think i've got enough going on in my life and should just stick with it!

Only done 4 out of 10k miles total.

Do they usually bump the monthly rate if you ask? I assume they want to shift new deals rather than keep you on existing ones!

Depending on your mileage it could go up (if over) or down (if below). I don't think there's an exact science to what rate they give you so a little luck can sometimes help. I've seen people post rates going both ways, but it would be silly not to try in the last three months of your contract. Worst case you extend another 3 months at the same rate and that gives you 6 months to source a car.

Depends on how much you were paying per month to begin with, if you had put a massive initial down then the monthlies will probably go up.

A lot of it boils down to the payment structure, the miles used vs miles already paid for, any depreciation evaluation they have and also how badly they want the car back.

Thanks for the info all, given i've only done 40% of the miles I agreed i'll see how much to extend and will report back just for info.

To be belts and braces, factor in tyres and servicing s well to the extension equation. Have to say though, a tempting option.

Yeah thats why (regrettably) I won't be extending my S5. I will need tyres x4 and a service not long after it goes back!

The amount of bait and switch deals I have stumbled upon are ridiculous. Should be illegal to do so.

You'd think leasing.com would be a great way to compare lease prices but it is anything but that, it's the central repertoire for these bait and switchers... I mean lease brokers tongue out

Typical example:

Car X - 24 months, £180 a month, 9 months initial, 8k annum

Send a request for a quote, comes back with an excuse along the lines of, "Sorry but this deal was on last week on a solid paint but now we only have metallic left (great timing by me!). The new monthly price is £225 a month and we can only do 10k annum on this I'm afraid".

Absolute Bocensoredcks!

I’m going to be in exactly the same position.

I had a lot of it when looking for certain car. All available were with extra paint and extra option. No basic cars, yet the price was for basic spec.

Thanks Gents.

Looking to nail this down next week. I’ve not found anything better than the A6 S-Line & Tech Pack for the money. Unless shown otherwise I will press ahead.
Isn't £10,367.68 for A6 a bit too much? It's not even Quattro and only 204BHP.
