Is there a reason why Alphabet (GB) leased a car from them 2 years ago due back in December are asking me to pay £10 for a Road Fund License Recharge having not paid any road tax with them for the duration?

Aren't they supposed to pay road tax as the lessor, I've never agreed to pay any form of tax - it's just lease payment monthly and insurances...

Seems like they've offloaded the increase in tax charge to me as the lessee for no real reason, I was also invoiced on 9/11 and paid on the 10/11 so seems like a hash job.

Thoughts?
I got the same letter..... they are taking the £10 via the DD

Well, the Santander S90 deal works out a couple of grand cheaper over 24 months (pro rata).
Which is probably a reflection of the recent comments regarding limited choice. Let’s hope there are a few tempting deals around the corner.
The S90 is a nice car, but as others with cars have confirmed, it's just a little off the pace compared with the best of the Germans.

Still, a couple of grand is a lump of cash?

I suggest you read your contract carefully. You've probably agreed to pay any increases in RFL during the contract period.

Road tax, or Vehicle Excise Duty, to give it its proper name will normally be included within the price. All lease agreements should include road tax either for the duration of the contract or for the first 12 months. Please note, if the cost of the tax increases during the lease agreement, you may be liable to pay the amount of the increase. Always check your contract.[/quote

Always amazes me when people sign contracts that they don't read.

Although they are charging you the increase for the year ahead from when the current RFL runs out. Assuming that you do hand the car back in December at your contract end date then you should be due a refund for either all or 11/12ths of that £10.
I had the same communication from Arval regarding my lease car, but they confirmed that as I already had collection arranged for the contract end date that they are reversing this charge in full and not collecting it via DD.

This is pretty good for the D4, and Momentum spec has everything you realistically need.

That's a cheap deal, but Momentum is the basic one?

M2 Competition deal with 360 Vehicle Leasing:

24 Months
10k Miles
£2865.53 Initial
£477.59 P/M
No admin fee as far as I can see.

Is this about as good as I'm going to get at the moment for one of these or has anybody seen better?

Apart from the fact that it isnt actually that cheap? 1+23 10k miles is £348 which is £8342 total for the basic car, 27% of the £30.2k broadpseed price.

I know the previous deals have gone but they were about £6500 IIRC

Yes. But they are very well equipped as standard compared to contemporaries.

I think I have narrowed my search down to the following two deals. This is on a Seat Cupra DSG

3+35, 10k miles, Fully maintained
£834.57 initial
35 x £278.19
Total - £10571.22

3+35, 8k miles, Fully maintained
£814.32 initial
35 x £271.44
Total - £10314.72
Miles over - 14.03p

How are these deals considering they inc maintenance? Removing maintenance only takes off about £200-£300 over the term, so seems like a no brainer. RRP of the car is £30,095. I am unsure what mileage we will need, probably somewhere between the two!

Deals are all approx the same, I went through V4B and it works out the same total cost including broker fee. Might be worth checking it’s still running, I was under the impression it had finished.

R-design is pretty much a trim change rather than any extra useful kit. The momentum model has all the same toys as far as I can tell. I was pretty impressed by the one I looked at a few weeks back.

Momentum to R-Design adds cosmetic stuff, theatre lighting and integrated rear blinds. Inscription adds Nappa leather, keyless entry, fully electric seats, and a few other niceties. It's really not worth the upgrade unless the price difference is negligible.

Just had a look on their site and couldn't find anything for this car so it must have. I'll probably just end up going ahead with the deal I found and then add SPG later.

A little bit gutted as I remember there were better deals about a month or so ago but I'm useless at deciding which car/deal to go for rotate

Hi guys, strongly considering a first time lease, seen some good deals around (correct me if I'm wrong see quote below) and wanted some advice

So I have a loan for 5yr 10k which I bought a qashqsi with, in 5 years time the loan will have cost around 13k and the car will be around 8/9 years old, based on current prices of 9 year old cars THE MOST this will be worth is around 4k

So I will lose around 9k over 5 years, to drive a 2014 year car so got me looking at least deals

This is my current offer
Monthly Price: £167.38 (Inc VAT)
Finance Type: Personal (Switch to best Business price)
Initial Payment: £502.14 (Inc VAT)
Term: 3 + 35help
Contract Length: 36 Monthshelp
Yearly Mileage: 8,000 mpa
Non maintenance

I can do business possibly too if it helps, we are only a small business under vat so might not be worth it

The Momentum I drove rode very well, from what I can on Volvo's site the R-design has stiffer springs and dampers. Could only be a bad thing on this sort of car IMO.
