Decent looking V90 deal if of interest: https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/lease-comp...
Obviously an error (or short lived deal) as it's been pulled from their site (although still showing on leasing.com). Shame as it worked out around 19% over 2 yrs for the R Design D4 and I may have ftk on that.

Estates not my thing but I think some people have been looking at them so might help.
Found this deal for a Volvo V90 https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/lease-comp...
2.0 D4 Momentum 5dr Geartronic
10k/pa
6+23 x £223.10
Fee £299

Amortised
£6768.90 Total or £282/month

Also
The S60 Saloon in petrol https://leasing.com/main-dealers/ray-chapman-volvo...
T4 [190] SE Nav 4dr [Leather]- Manual
10k/pa
3+23 x £216.03

Amortised
£5616.78 total or £234/month

The S60 works out same if done with 6 months upfront. Not sure what the SE Nav spec is like. Seems to be the outgoing model of the S60, both from pics and also that the spec range has been replaced by Momentum, Inscription and R Design
That V90 deal is incredible. Approx 18% of the RRP. I've enquired about it as I'll need some extra miles. I'll update the thread if this is a legit offer and what the excess mileage charges are.

Many thanks

the issue for me with posting PCP deals is that 9 times out of 10 they are not that good, and then we get into the whole philosophical argument about PCP versus lease, and then people starting asking basic questions about PCPs, and then we have this discussion about whether we should or should not accept PCP deals. I think the 'lease deals only' rule was intended as a shorthand for not having to deal with all that crap. No one is going to really kick off if someone posts a really good PCP deal - particularly if the lease for that particular car is nowhere near attractive, however I can honestly say I have never seen that happen, yet.
Well, if you wanted to author a sticky that we can place on the top of this forum, we could refer newbies to the top10 questions once they start posting:

1)Deals with no links
2)Why lease is better than PCP
3)Why PCP is better than leasing
4)Can I buy the car at the end of a lease deal
5)Can I pay a BMW business lease from my personal account thus avoiding the BIK associated tax
6)Do I get the initial deposit back
7) Where can I get a golf R for £199 month
8) I saw an offer on a C63s for £399 a month but when I phoned them up they quoted £999 month because the 1 car had been sold. Are they just phishing for my details
9)Do I need GAP insurance
10) What charges will be levied on me if I have smashed every panel of the car and curbed all wheels

You get the idea....

Ah sh*t - you're right. I managed to enquire via their site when the deal was still live but it definitely looks like this was an error. Now they've got my details through click bait!

Thanks anyway. I'll let you know if they offer anything decent.

i am sorry in advance if this its not the right question asked on this thread..

I have been able to get a deal form this forum for an a5 in Jan signed and finance approved.
after about 5 months they have come back and told me that Audi did not apply the correct level of discount when ordering so the prices of today are too high from my original order..

So in short , what are my rights? or shall i just take my admin fee and walk away . Any advice would be highly appreciated

thanks

I would add this :

Deal as a % of RRP:
under 20% = Awesome Deal! --> most probably a mistake
21 - 24% = Pretty Good (but not Awesome) Deal
25 - 29% = OKish Deal
over 30% = Poor Deal!
About the Volvo XC90 D4 ... smile

Another vote for the sticky post as they are all the same guidelines that we sought when we arrived here
At worst it's somewhere sensible to direct new posters to without needing to cause offence

I'm new to leasing too so others may be able to advise better, but I'd start by looking at the contract I have with the broker (assuming you went through one). I imagine there will be some language along the lines of (taken from my contract):

I/We fully understand that the figures set out are subject to revision due to BROKER NAME being able to obtain the vehicle at the figure upon which their quotation has been based.
Should there be an increase in funding charges beyond the control of BROKER NAME I/We have the option to cancel this order without penalty.

If it's anything like that I would imagine your rights are pretty limited. However you might be able to leverage some good will in some way (eg a discounted rate on another vehicle).

Just had a 9 month extension quote from mercedes on my C63. Monthly jumped from just under £600 to £820 per month. Safe to say they want it back ASAP to sell before the facelifts turn up.

Hello fellow leafie

Are you like me really disappointed in how much Nissan want for their new leaf pcp... nowhere near my £175
Same with the Renault Zoe. I jumped in the £109 a month deal with zero deposit a few years back. When it came to the end, I think the best I could get was about £300 pm on the same car!
EVs are stuck in a continual loop at the moment. People still aren't sure about them, so residuals are pretty bad, so people don't buy them, so lease/PCP rates are stupidly high, so people don't buy them, repeat ad infinitum.

The manufacturers need to take a hit and bung them out at a massive discount, then there will be more on the roads, visibility and trust will increase and residuals will improve.

Perfect example is the Smart Fortwo. Want to get an EQ version for the wife as to me it makes the most sense - smarts only ever do short town journeys so an EV works best. Here are the comparative PCP rates for the EQ and a base petrol Prime (closest in levels of kit, power and auto 'box):

Smart ForTwo Prime 90hp Twinamic
Deposit: £170
Monthly: £179

Smart ForTwo EQ
Deposit: £1999
Monthly: £219

Just really doesn't make any financial sense at all especially as you're not going to recoup the costs fuel-wise.

I'm not sure I agree with any of this. People are sure of premium EVs, certainly, hence the long lead times for Teslas, and the fact that you can't get an I-Pace until January now. Residuals aren't bad - even the earliest, cheapest 7-year-old Nissan Leaf on Autotrader is £5.5k, E-Ups are going for £10k+, i3s for £12K+, and the B-Class for £15k+. Four year old Teslas are selling for 60-65% of their new price.

PCP rates for the I-Pace are the usual Jaguar 6.9% for new cars. If you go via Rockar Jaguar (rockar.com), they'll do 4.9% on an I-Pace. Tesla were doing 2.9% until a couple of weeks ago.

If anything, the cost of entry to the EV market is still too high because of the purchase price. Right now it doesn't make financial sense - at least if you're getting a Tesla or an I-Pace to enjoy cheap electric motoring. It makes more sense if you're getting, say, an Ioniq, but even they are expensive compared to the equivalent diesel or petrol. Until we see more competition, and until the R&D expenditure starts to pay off, prices will remain high.

I reckon in about 4 or 5 years, EVs will be big sellers. Porsche, Audi, Merc, Volvo, Hyundai, and Kia will all be selling high-range, high quality EVs to compete with the established players. We might also see Byton or Dyson release their cars too.

Exciting times.

Re. the Leon deal mentioned previously, I've gone for what I assume is the same one:

Seat Leon FR 1.8 5dr
3+35 @ £225.70/month
Fully maintained
8k/annum

Been told there's about 25 remaining, all have Convenience+ pack (auto wipers, lights and LED interior stuff), as well as 18 inch Performance alloys. All in metallic, either black, white or silver (or maybe grey?). I'm sure everyone's going to tell me that they've got a Golf R that only costs them half this amount, but the sums work for me, especially with maintenance, which is available on 36 month agreements on 8k or 10k miles.

Link below, FVL did my previous lease and I've found them easy to deal with. I speak to Ross, if anyone does go for it let him know Greg mentioned it on here:

ross.longmuir@fvl.co.uk
0141 763 2969
https://www.firstvehicleleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/...

Note that the prices on the website are about £5 a month less than my quote. Apparently this is because they previously had some without the options but they've all gone. Not sure if true, don't really care.

Case in point, we are looking at Mazda 6 Tourer, Mazda main dealer wants £5k deposit, £222 over 36 months (we shall ignore road tax) works out at £360 a month!!! GFV £11k

Best lease I can find at moment £260! That is a big difference, nearly 4K over the contract period

Haha, no jokes - but that is the single question that I still can’t find a definitive answer on!
(Other then perhaps impact on your credit file rating)

How about its easier and probably cheaper to get out a PCP than a lease before the end of the contract. Particularly important if your circumstances change.
