But I guess that's offset by the cost of maintenance?
You could ask for a quote that includes maintenance. It might add £10-£15 a month, but if that adds up to less than the price of a set of tyres and a couple of services, it may be worth it - especially if you're getting something that's likely to be hard on it's tyres. Four OEM tyres for 20" wheels is likely to cost £900+.KD37 said:
Just so I can get this right in my head, by amortised do you mean spreading the whole cost of the lease into standardised monthly payments?
So rather than 6 month initial at £1200 and 23 x £200 it's 24 x £241.66?
Maths is good. Only other thing to factor in here is broker fee...So rather than 6 month initial at £1200 and 23 x £200 it's 24 x £241.66?

E220 AMG Wagon on 6+23 with Vanarama over 8k miles PA for £257 inc VAT
Really???
http://www.vanarama.co.uk/car-leasing/search.html?...
Hope I dont end up kicking myself tomorrow as Ive just bailed out of an email enquiry due to it needing more personal info than I was prepared to casually hand over and I wont be able to get to a phone until late afternoon
Cheers
I've been a lurker for a few weeks (since the V90 deals) but this is the first time I've been able to comment anything useful.Really???

A bit more detail on the above quote:
- All of the flat paint cars have gone so it's metallic only which adds about £16/month
- The excess mileage rate is 23p/mile, versus approx 9p per mile if you build it into the original mileage estimate. Certainly wouldn't want to go over the mileage!
- They are in stock cars available in 2 - 3 weeks
Unfortunately this means it's no good to me as my mileage per year varies and I would want to add adaptive cruise.
Also thanks to everyone for the fantastic sharing of knowledge on here.

What are the finance deals looking like on these at the moment?

Sorry guys. I'm guessing the amount of interest they received from it meant that most cars went quickly, so the prices were cranked up.
I've had finance approved under the premise of the deal going ahead at the price that was quoted to yourself.I'll be annoyed if now at the order point I'm told otherwise!

did you receive a quote yourself? Even if you did, if they cannot fulfil it because the allocation was reached, whilst this would be frustrating, it's just the way it goes.
Nope, my initial quote and contact was based on Jonno's quote. I did however get confirmation that my submission of the finance form was for the prices that Jade had provided. But like you said, if it doesn't work out then it is what it is.
I have finally been given a delivery date for my Audi A5 - ordered 1st Feb and will take delivery 23rd July.
I have been quoted for maintenance including tyres at £20 per month. The car is a Audi A5 1.4 tfsi and I will do 10,000 miles per year for 2 years. Do you think the maintenance pack is worth it? Will the tyres need changing during the 20,000?
I am very tempted to go for it as it is then a certain fixed cost without the need to shop around for service etc.

Well worth it for the cost vs hassle. My tyres are covered for puncture etc too. saved myself loads over a 3year deal on brakes, tyres & main dealer service thrown in.I have been quoted for maintenance including tyres at £20 per month. It will cost £480 over the 2 years.... if a change of tyres is required then that would cost this much alone.

My A6 is due back in Sept, (6+23, £380 month, 10k pa) and I'm considering keeping it longer, I've only done 13k miles.
VWFS are quoting to extend to 3 years and 21k. But they're really slow, it's been a week and still no numbers.
I'm hoping for lower than £380 given that I only want an extra 1k miles vs the 2 year agreement. But I'm not sure how these calculations typically work ?
They'll also do an informal 6 month extension at £380, but I want to compare the costs of both options before I decide which one to go for.
Informal at same monthly rate is 3 months, formal are for 6 or 12 months. VWFS are quoting to extend to 3 years and 21k. But they're really slow, it's been a week and still no numbers.

Not sure how they come up with the figures, guess it’s worked out on the cars value after those additional time periods.
Think they said it would take up to 10 working days for a quote, mine was pretty much at that limit.

Unless you're prone to punctures and they are included, I don't think it's worth it. Oil service will be around £200 and you should survive on one set of tyres unless you have lead foot. Price has gone up for me to make it almost £1k dearer over the term after having the finance approved. Wessex have said that this is due to the finance house (LeasePlan was the funder) asking for an increased margin due to additional risk presented by me.Ah well, that's me out! Cheers to Jonno for sharing anyways.
