Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 6)

Long time lurker. Just wanting to thank all contributors for the mountains of useful information over the years!

After weighing up my options for a couple of months decided to replace my current 2017 Leon FR 150 lease (3+23 at £169 inc VAT) with.........






another one!

Details: Leon FR 5dr 10k 3+23 at £202 per month, no fees, from Perrys Seat franchise. I make that just under 25%.


Not blown away by the deal but I think it's solid in the current climate.

If anyone has any experience of the 1.5 130bhp engine compared with the old 1.4 TSi 150bhp I'd be interested in your thoughts.

I don’t think the deal ever went away it’s just not that much of a deal when you add the arguably necessary spec. I’m sure Applied Leasing are cheaper than your link.

I think seeing one in the flesh prior to ordering might be a bit of a task.

Just got a Magnetic grey one for the missus from IMG Warrington. Was £176 a month 8k miles 6+23 (if you get one from there mention I sent you to Phil)

I added 18 inch wheels for another tenner a month (they look a bit underwheeled if not)

For the money its great value. Very well specced, handles well, looks good, practical. The 130bhp engine isnt particularly fast but it is very useable. Variable vane tech on the turbo means 200 torques at 1300rpm and peak power at 6000rpm. Sounds OK and frugal, shuts down two of its 4 cyclinders to conserve fuel.

I'm looking at lease deals as after weighing up the money I've lost (trade in values, service/maintenance) over the years buying 3yr old cars, every 2yrs or so when i get bored of the current motor.

I currently have a 64 Plate Seat Leon FR Technology DSG. I have a few questions if people can help:


1 . How to sell current car as i'd like to put some of the proceeds towards a lease( I'd prefer not to sell private, hate the idea of people messing me around, not turning up, or kicking tyres)
2. Any one point me to a thread about do/donts, advice on GAP or anything else i need.
3. Any good deals on an automatics

1. Try Peter Vardy online, they give you a price for your car as long as you've truthfully told them how it is online.
2. GAP there's plenty of places to buy it online, guys on here will have there favourites.
3. Skoda Octavia DSG's were going for cheap recently, might be worth a look

Ah, maybe. I signed up on Monday and the lux price was £296 10k or £335 15k which I have gone for. Those prices were from last Friday

They are good IMG - Also dealt with Phil, I went for the offer they had on the Leon Fr Tech 1.4T with a couple of options and 18" alloys a few months ago £209 per month on a 1+ 35. Perfect little car for school runs etc and isn't as slow as I imagined either.

Anyone found any great deals on a VW T-Roc, or potentially similar car? Got one quote at £1k down, £219 a month on a 36 month lease, however compared to our current £94 a month for a little VW Up the extra costs are racking up even though we do need a bigger car!

I enquired last weekend and got a call from Jet to say it was a cancelled order so they only had one vehicle available which had already been snapped up.

They told me that they would have another batch of car available in March on similar terms.

That deal is ongoing since previous quarter. Problem is, they didn't have any cars without extra options. So it was £400 or more for paint (only black is free and wasn't in stock) and some cars had visibility pack which adds another £1000 something. Also 8K or 10K miles per annum make it more expensive. I had a few quotes in November and didn't act on any. Decided it's too expensive for the car.

These are the quotes I got in November for white car with Bose (no cars without Bose):
8k miles per year 5 x £241.40 =£1207 followed by 23 x £241.40 = £6,759.2
10k miles per year 5 x £252.13=£1260.65 followed by 23 x £252.13 = £7,059.64

All these unsold cars from stock are now on the market, 68 plates and 10miles. Arnold Clark has 23 automatic for sale and there are some more on Autotrader from other dealers.

I got one in November from them on a 3+23 £261 for metallic grey and the Bose, 10k miles. Whilst not as cheap as the deal I'd secured the quarter before, it's in a colour I like without the heritage pack I wasn't fussed on! The Bose is surprisingly good, I only realised this once I'd went into my dads 18 plate A4!

Have you thought about 2 year lease deals? For instance this deal https://leasing.com/main-dealers/vertu-volkswagen/... on the Arteon works out at £3192 per year for 10k, compared with £3432 on the deal you've linked to, and with a 2 year deal, you'll likely have lower maintenance costs, and won't need to pay to get it MOT'd.
