In the spirit of Top Trumps a Forester XT is 241bhp for £33k OTR. smile

Is there anything cheaper with similar power, build quality and performance? There must be, surely?

I keep thinking I should look at the forester xt having had a legacy turbo in the 90s and a couple of outbacks (one diesel one 3.0 petrol) - shame they don’t bring in the 7-seater (we need one bigger car) and the only engine with any grunt now is the forester xt - everything else Nat asp petrol (and next shape forester due shortly won’t have turbo engine). Did you not like the xt? They are very safe with excellent visibility and good features like wrap around doors so that no mud on sill when you get in

Just saw Which recommend against getting discovery sport cos they are too unreliable

Nx looks interesting but the monthlies/deposit were too much. The memory seats put it up to 44k plus servicing etc.
The seats in the xt weren't for me couldn't get comfy.
We want a higher driving position hence the suv.

I’m thinking GLC for my next car, the Urban Edition looks good value but I’m not keen on the large wheels.

Make sure you're OK with its crabbing issue before committing.

Merc blamed customers and the weather, great customer service.

If you read the articles above people are still reporting the issue in July 2018
