I know we have the great resource that is the lease deals thread but I thought it might be worth doing a similar thread for PCPs or similar finance deals. The main reason is the folding offer popped up on social media and I thought it too cheap not to investigate further...

Brand new dealer stock BMW X-Drive 335d saloons, mixture of specs but does include a couple of shadowline ones with the upgraded allows and fancy stereo, apart from that they aren't that highly spec'd for a M-Sport I thought-normal nav, heated seats, privacy glass and a revising camera.

Yes, i think the deals on the BMW 3 series are going to stack up well currently as theres big discounts avail and they're doing 0% APR.

I think the deals extend to the M3 / M4 as well.

Might be worth attempting to lay down some group rules, such as....

• PCH deals may work out cheaper, but there may be reasons why people prefer to go down the PCP route, so lets not have this become a debate of the relative merits of either.

And probably more importantly -

• If you dont "get" PCP deals then thats fine - there are many threads running where you can express why you're right so find one of those, please dont derail this one.

I guess part of the problem will be that whilst most PCH deals are advertised, and most car discounts are advertised (via brokers), PCP deals tend to be hammered out with the dealer on the day as it were, so maybe hard to get accurate deals listed here.

I have been looking at the 0% BMW deal for a 320i M Sport. The cheapest I have found online is Marshalls BMW with:
£299 * 47 months with £1250 deposit and 8k miles, total £15303 over 4 years or £3826 per year. Final payment £10445.

There seems to be a wide variety of deals depending on BMW Dealership, it appears they most want to shift the diesels and the 320d M Sport. All deals seem to say immediate delivery.

The 320i is presumably a petrol yes? We live rurally so although not doing loads of miles I suspect that at a steady 50-60mph the dirty diesel of the 335d would probably not cost much more to run per month than the 320i.

Heck of a quicker car too and the 6 cylinder diesel might even be a nicer engine.

My dad is contemplating FTK on a Velar R-Dynamic SE through Stratstone Land Rover on a 4 year PCP on £439 down £439 a month. He's had two Evoques now with the current one approaching 5 years old. List price is £50,300 with a GMFV of £35274 according to the website.

Works out just over £21k for the 4 years which for a 50k car doesn't seem bad to me. I know you have a year out of warranty, but my dad has had both Evoques outside warranty period and they've been fine.

Close to +£100 a month difference though. That could be a deal breaker in itself if someone has a budget of £300 a month (fairly typical) let alone maybe not wanting a diesel.

That bmw deal is really solid. Even with the new one coming. I wonder if you can turn the screw even more on what they are quoting?

Yes, this is the petrol...no doubt that the 335d will be the nicer car to driver and I much prefer the way diesel drive. At current fuel costs, the 320i and 335d are likely to be similar to run. Since this is a PCP, I can't imagine the demonisation of diesel will be a problem unless you are considering buying at the end?

The 335d is over the £40k car tax bracket so you will be spending an extra £310 per year for first 5 years.

Mileage allowance is very low at 6000, so it works out about 90p per mile. Makes the 28p excess mileage charge seem like incredible value!

Always worth a try but Lloyd’s seem to be the cheapest of all the deals. I’d be more inclined to push for a better spec’d car rather than a cheaper one. As nice as the 335d is to drive the lack of keyless entry, boggo nav, Black interiors and cheap leather would grate on me a bit.

The Veler looks an interesting deal on the headline figures the way JLR are going it can’t be long until they’re throwing dealer and manufacturer incentives and 0% at those things.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that car is sub £400pcm before long-you’d still have to put up with the diesel four pot mind you.

It already is on the lower spec r dynamic, 369/369

Yes that's the only fly in the ointment but my dad only does about that anyway, all A road work as we live in a village just off the A1 so it'll never see a town centre.

Just been phoned by local Honda dealer: They're doing no deposit and 0% interest on Honda Jazz Sport: PCP at 249 per month for 36 months. I've driven one and really liked it (fight me)

Just had one as a loaner while the Type-R had some warranty work done. Go and have a sit down and think about where your life is going
