0% interest rate, based on 15000 miles per year, reasonable excess mileage charge, and £0 monthly payments.

Deposit is a little steep though.
Well the monthlies are palatable and the APR is great. The deposit as you say... not so much.

I'd be asking them to talk me through why they think i should be buying their car at £110,000 when its going to be worth £53,000 less in just two years time. eek

That car appears to be available for even less - 3 years at £179 per month but slightly higher deposit of £3,702. It says 6,000 miles which I imagine the main Renault deal is for as well.

0% Free and manufacturer discounts available on the outgoing MY Ford Ranger including Wildtrack. A little agricultural for most but the 3.2 Diesel Auto isn't a bad driving thing IMHO if a twin cab pickup is your thing.

Haven't driven the new 2.0 with 10 speed auto version so don't know how much better it is.

Seems like a massively inflated GFV; they are essentially guaranteeing a Renault will be worth 60% of it's list price after 3 years. Seems like a big ask but it's the finance company that takes the hit at the end of the day.

Assuming you treat it like a PCH and hand it back after the term, I work it out to be £10146 over 37 months (£274.22 per month). Based off the OTR of £25,732 that gives you 39%. If you do on £274 x 24 (£6576) then you get 25.5%, which isn't a bad deal but it's not amazing either.

Not gonna pretend i fully understand the workings of what does and doesn’t make a deal amazing to be honest. I’m new to the whole finance world I just want a hot hatch like this for example at a decent rate

Have a little look what the Civic Type R and Megane RS are up for after 3 years.

The GFV isn't going to be far out unless they flood the market like other brands.

Got two quotes on pcp for Mégane rs. And Mégane rs trophy at 0 percent. This seem like a good deal?

For the total costs of all of those deals, I would struggle to Justify the Megane (which I really like the look of btw) over a Leon Cupra 290 which is available for less.

For example, the Megane 280 deal you have quoted has a total cost of £11,831.76 across 37 months for the 8k miles deal. This is the equivalent of £319.78 per month. Also, don't forget on PCP you have to pay for the tax from year 2 onwards.

A Leon Cupra 290 (also with DSG/Auto) and 8k miles can be leased for £7,478.52 over 24 months meaning an equivalent monthly cost of £306.69 but with the tax and delivery/collection etc included. Also, it should include free choice of metallic paint as Seat now offer that for free unlike Renault (as far as I know).

They are not far apart from each other in terms of overall monthly costs but I would be surprised if the standard Megane 280 is as well specced as the Leon.

Don't get me wrong, I have a Leon Cupra 300 at the moment and have been keeping an eye on the Megane 280 and 300 deals as I like the look of the car and loved by old Renault Sports - both the Clios and Megane. However, if you haven't tried a Cupra and are thinking about a hot hatch then it is certainly worth considering.

Link here to the cheapest lease deal I could find for the Leon at present (worth looking around to see if it may be cheaper elsewhere). https://www.leasingoptions.co.uk/car-leasing/seat/...

Thanks for the reply mate.

Believe it or not the cupra would be my first choice. Ideally a lux too but pcp is crazy as it isn’t 0 percent and I’m still not fully certain on lease as it’s not something I am too clued up on at all. I will have another look though.

Has anyone managed to get a PCP on an M2 comp recently and if so, what sort of figures did you manage?

I'm currently looking with a deposit of around £3k and doing 8k miles. I'm not bothered if it's manual or DCT or ticking a lot of options. I'm not concerned with the term length either but all I can find is lease pricing. There are some good sub £500 per month deals but I'd rather PCP.

I don't want to go to my local BMW dealer and have the long finance talk only to find he laughs at me when I tell him I can't afford a gazillion dollars a month biggrin

Head over to babybmw.net and speak to TRL who works at Berry Heathrow BMW. He will sort you out.
