That's a pretty reasonable point, though perhaps worth proceeding with caution - they may still have better grip in very wet conditions, for example, if their much greater tread depth than the part worn "good" tyres becomes more important than a rubber compound made out of melted down political dissidents or whatever.

generally true and possible in this case, but we are talking Acceleras!! - they are shocking in the wet !!
