The 14 day cooling off period allows you to try something as you would do in a shop. I would not expect to receive a car and rag it around for 2000 miles in 14 days and then say I don't like it - it won't be refundable under those circumstances. A typical test drive is what 5-10 miles max?

Their 7 day offer is contractual and obviously wider - although the page that is meant to say what it covers is currently dead

Will be interesting to see how accurate they have been with any imperfections. I've heard they are overly critical of their stock.

Can you see service history in advance?

How many times has this online car retailer been tried in the past and how many times has it failed? The only reason they have as many sales as they currently have is due to Covid and people not being able to go to car dealers?

Are people really happy to buy cars like this, I know I would never buy any car unless it was physically in front of me. Plus they are competing with Cinch who have much better access to cars due to being owned by WeBuyAnyCar.

I think once car sales get back to normal they will go under.
I think most people are now. All that's really desired for most is something with a german badge on the front and a screen to show your songs. People on a forum like this are just an anomaly.
Even some of us are happy with a German badge and a screen.

I bought my E63 from Cazoo. Best price for a decent colour, and free delivery.

Two years earlier I bought my 550i unseen (admittedly approved used from a main dealer)

Six years before that I bought my Avensis estate unseen (approved used again)

Get a decent warranty and the risk of not having test driven a modern car is pretty minimal.
Did you get it with their extended warranty? Their prices for that are very good, but wondering how it stacks up on performance car.

How did it go? I’m looking to get a cheaper learner car for the lad, they seem to have a lot of reasonable cars that fit the bill.

I got my m140 from them in March - very pleasant experience. I picked mine up from the Grange mouth branch. Warranty just about out, really quite tempted to go for their extended based on my experience with them so far.

I was struggling to work out what it was - and then......

I wish you well with it.

I am looking for an MB E Class estate in black. I went into the Cazoo place in Chertsey, all very nice, pleasant people to talk to, but no cars you can look at, or sit in. It isn't just a whim on my part, the AMG line cars have different front seats from the other cars and I want to try out the differences.

But, with Cazoo, you can't.

I got a CX5 from them.
2017 30k miles ish. Full history.

Far better than anything I saw as approved used mazda, got fed up driving around dealers dealing with idiot sales staff.

Any issues I have had and raised they have dealt with (Slight wheel wobble they swapped davantis to goodyears and paid for a road force balance)

It has a slightly damaged undertray so they booked it into mazda who are resolving that, no hassle really but it should have been spotted on the 400 point check. It was even a previous MOT advisory hence me looking!

They also extended the 7 day return period until issues were resolved, can't say fairer than that!

Prep was good, I'd say overly critical on imperfections. I'm into detailing so very fussy, they used some kind of sticky trim dressing but it cleaned off easy enough and most people chucking cars through hand car washes wouldn't care about this.
OEM mats were replaced with new cheaper quality ones, again a very minor point and most people would not notice.

Extended warranty is supplied via a third party, Obviously the initial dealings are cazoo direct and they are very eager to please to grow the business model, I'm sure when I researched the warranty provider isn't quite so well reviewed.

Prices seem fair and on the lower end of decent trade prices, not a bargain but on the lower end from anything I've looked at.

I bought my Megane Trophy from them. A bit a risk buying a hot hatch unseen but it was a good price and being able to have seven days cooling off swung it for me. I figured if it was rough or stank on collect then I’d just walk away so took the punt.

The car was well prepped, better than a lot of main dealers and the lad doing the hand over had clearly spent a bit of time researching it as he was able to explain all the controls (again unlike main dealers who’d you though just selling one make they’d know off by heart!). There was no hard sell of any add ons which was refreshing. My car was 2yrs old so I didn’t take out any of their warranty although it did seem reasonably priced.

I would use them again, I hope once they’ve established themselves they don’t then start to push customer service down at the expense of chasing profits.

Neighbour’s used them twice and had good experiences. They’ve got a young family so no time to travel around looking at options and aren’t really car people so just needed something ASAP. Got a mini SUV with no problems but the Fiesta they got had problems with front tyres loosing pressure. Guess it’s something you wouldn’t really spot unless using the car. They had the opportunity to reject it but in the end Cazoo got it sorted for them through local garages and fact they recommended them to us must mean they were looked after.

As a seller to them, 100% happy with the experience, paid top money, came and picked it up, and the money was in my account before the car left the drive.

No messing around.

Mazda dont come with OEM mats as standard so it probably never had any to begin with!

But I have to pay for it first. And if I don't like it, then ask for my money back.

What sort of performance is that?

I think you're missing the point. They're not a retail dealer. If you wanted them to have lots of stock on site and multiple variant for you to test drive their overheads would be more and the car cost more. If they were that then they'd be like most other dealer or car supermarkets.

My daughter bought a used car from Cazoo this year. The imperfections were documented in the advert and when the car arrived I must admit I struggled to spot the imperfections in good light and I have an eye for these things. So yes I would say they are very accurate in documenting in their ads issues with the car.

I was sceptical about buying a car like this but having seen how well it worked for my daughter I'd consider buying in this way for a normal production car.
