William Woollard would be my choice
Yeah. He is only 81, I am sure he would jump at the chance of a bit of cash work.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Woollard

Can't really see it catching on, I suspect people buying a car who are totally disinterested in cars and just want a red hatchback or whatever will think its great, but most people and definitely car people would want to see and drive a car before parting with there hard earned. Don't get me wrong the Internet is great tool for searching for the right car but I still want to try before I buy
I used Cazoo to buy a 2019/68 Renault Captur recently. My wife is the main user of the car, and she just liked the looks and the colour (orange with black roof). With a newish mainstream car that's still under warranty, where's the risk of buying online if you trust the returns process? We've had the car for nearly four weeks now and are very happy with both the car and the condition it was delivered in. The price was decent (but not rock bottom), and I was happy to avoid the usual dealer shenanigans of sitting in an overheated showroom saying "no" to finance, paint protection and gap insurance.
I understand that it's not for everyone, but I think online car sales will become more common as time goes on.

What's the USP? You can already buy a car online, get it delivered and return it.
USP is two hour delivery slots, no quibble return process, and high quality photos of the stock.Edited by spreadsheet monkey on Thursday 3rd December 10:18

Cazoo have realised they need bricks and mortar showrooms as well. Kind of defeats the object of being online only.
wont be stock in there...for collection, car purchased online then transported to the various sites they'll be opening around the country.currently 100 5.5t transporters ( another 50 ordered for next year), 20 7.5t transporters and 12 covered 44t on order so not a small investment by any means
first batch of 5.5t's are having CAZ.. plates put on, probably the only assest they 'own' as such
Cinch vehicles i've seen on their site, not too sure whether connected or because the site is an old BCA one, their MCT's still operate from there?

Where have you seen that info about the transporters?currently 100 5.5t transporters ( another 50 ordered for next year), 20 7.5t transporters and 12 covered 44t on order so not a small investment by any means

Not just ordinary cars - I bought the E63 from them in Feb. It was pretty much the same cost to change as comparable cars but the colour I wanted (I.e. not black or white) and free delivery swung it.
It turned up with an acknowledged fault - dead tyre pressure sensors, and another half dozen minor issues cropped up in the first couple of weeks, so don't trust their 180-point check (one was wheel balancing, one was the sunroof stuck half open...) All sorted by our local MB specialists under the warranty with no quibbles at all, ended up almost £2k of work in total, and they gave me £500 back for the inconvenience of not having the car for four days in the first two weeks.
Car's been great since. Can't exactly recommend them, but I had a worse experience with a BMW approved used car and claiming against that warranty when it broke. It's always a gamble.
