Buying a car from Northern Ireland

Hi,

I have seen a car for sale in Belfast that I am really interested in. I live in South Wales and would like to know if anyone else has had any experience in bringing a car over to mainland UK from Northern Ireland? I have done a little bit of research and have found conflicting information with regards to the MOT, re-registering the car and maybe having to pay VAT. The car in question is priced very reasonably with FSH, good miles and looks mint from what I can see.

It's the same as buying a car from England to Wales - both are in the UK.

It gets a little complicated (or at least, I don't know what happens) if the car is less than 4 years old as the first MOT is due at different times, but in your case it's simple.
