So it could be that he was telling the truth judging by the mixed responses on here re leasing and credit on file, seems to be lender based?

Interesting...

Anyone jumping on the mini deal? I know it’s not class leading PHEV but rrp is approx £35k?

£7350ish total lease cost so around 21%
Got one for Mrs X a few months ago (worked out about 23% at that time).
I was surprised by how quick it is.
Overall she's pretty happy with it. Descent spec.
(Still find them pretty creepy when they're moving near you on electric though !!!)

Just FYI as well but the delivery email tells me I have to have the car insured at least two days before delivery date and send them proof of this.

Not exactly sure why this is.
I’m not sure if this was lost in translation.

They probably mean, you must have purchased car insurance with cover starting from the delivery date, and send them proof of this at least 2 days prior.

Having had lease vehicles for the last 10 years, there is no requirement to start the cover before the delivery / handover, and nor should there be.😊

Taken delivery of my new Audi A6 40 TDI (lol) S Line Saloon in Floret Silver. 3+23, 10k miles pa, £391.50 pcm inc VAT.

BCA were due to collect my S5 today but after three chasers they told me at 5pm they weren’t going to make it. The next available appointment for collection is the 9th April.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Both VWFS and PSA appear on my credit file as "operating leases", for the lease cost less initial payment, reducing as the lease completed.

Where did you get the A6 from? What are your first impressions?
Floret Silver is an underrated colour I think.

I got it via RGW, dealt with Graham, very good.

Drove smoothly, seems a comfortable cruiser. Steering in dynamic felt odd so out it in to comfort.

Do like the silver. Has a very light tint of blue in it.

Idling my evening away and came across this Kia Stinger. Not the big boy 365bhp V6, but it's RWD, petrol and apparently does 0-60 in 5,8s which isn't dreadful for a big old barge. It's handsome, got plenty of kit and is supposed to be a decent drive. Anyone know about these?

Had a test drive in one recently.
Drives very nicely and has a lot of kit. It doesn't feel nearly as powerful as the 244 bhp suggests however (I am currently in a BMW 330d with a similar power. The Stinger doesn't accelerate anything like the 330 does).

The Mrs declared that she hated the look of it however - a bit too brash!

I have therefore put on my slippers and cardigan and gone for a Volvo instead!

That's what Audi did to me once, registered the car at the end of the month instead of day of delivery and my contract was running from day of registration.

That's also what Audi tried doing to me with my S5. Was registered on 31/03/17 and delivered on 04/04/17. That was because they registered it early so THEY didn't have to pay the extra road tax. Anyway I complained to them about it and "as a gesture of goodwill" they gave me what I was bloomin well paying for!

I am guessing they just want to know it is insured before they register it/deliver it. I was amazed that they delivered my S5 without needing to know it was insured

I’ve leased 3 cars now, never been asked for proof of insurance at any point

I had to provide proof of insurance to Mercedes, when taking PCP. I was collecting it on a day of registration in person. But no one asked me for proof of insurance for any lease.

More interesting was insuring lease car day before it was registered, it was delivered on trade plates before 1st of September. Had to sign paper, that I won't be driving it before midnight.

What MPG is it returning? I also read somewhere the electric range is around 12 miles and not 22 as advertised - is that true?

There was a similar (better?) offer a few months back when all the BMW225XE offers came through. They are the same platform and our 225XE (£229 1+17 8k deal) is a very nice car. I prefer the look of the mini if given a choice. Very quick off the line and amazing economy on short trips. Would not recommend for daily motorway driving.

BCA didn’t turn up for my inspection either but are due to collect it this Friday.

I’d ring VWFS and tell them. I assume your contract expires on the 31/03? I’d be inclined to tell them that it won’t be insured after today as you’ve recieved your new vehicle vehicle and transferred the insurance. So they either need to insure it or get it collected. I’m sure that will make BCA will bring that date forward.

Did anyone take the Audi E-Tron offer?
Was seriously tempted by the deal but the 8k mileage wasn’t enough and excess per mile was quite high. Also standard model seems to get black bumpers all around which didn’t look great if you got any exterior colour other than black. Good deal if anyone is looking at cars with a similar rrp and happy with 8k miles "

Anyone?

Had same reservations on the mileage, though even at the eyewatering 33p excess rate it still brings the overall 'cost per mile' down over the term - man maths. It also doesn't have adaptive cruise control as standard which is a joke on a 70k EV. my golf R has it and I use it a lot. I'm still disappointed in missing the I-PACE fleet prices deal - see the first of these is being delivered (sniff petrols has arrived). Hoped Audi may do something similar. I'm due to speak to them direct to see... Surely someone got on this deal though?

I have heard this happening, and it's typical you make the time to get BCA round for the inspection etc and then they change their appointment at your inconvenience .....

Hope your happy with the A6, I may have to go down a similar route at the end of my S5 deal.

I did. Went for 6+23 and 12k miles. Metallic paint and the Extended interior LED pack.

Taking into account the saved fuel costs, for me it was a very good deal on such a car. The next best deal around is £182 PM more for same mileage.
