Thanks very much for the confirmation - on that basis, anything longer than three years would seem madness unless the lease is on a Kia with a seven year warranty!
watch what's covered

Did you bite? I am considering the XC90 also. Anyone else think this is a good price?
Not yet, i think they will come down further, there appears to be stock sat around.

But this Q5 also popped up.

I am confused by the warranty situation.

I read plenty of posts on this thread that say not having a warranty is a massive risk, but then I also read that as you are 'buying a service' from the leasing company, any issues whatsoever should be sorted out between the leasing co. and the servicing garage.

Which is correct?
The lease holder (I.e. you) are responsible for maintenance. So, if it breaks outside of the OEM warranty period and the engine blows up, the lease company will still be expecting a working car returned at the end of the term.

Adding ‘maintenance’ to the lease won’t help here, that will only cover routine servicing (and sometimes some specified consumables).

Not sure if it’s possible to buy OEM warranty extensions for leased cars. I guess it is, same as for other finance methods.
There's 'service' and 'service and maintenance' - the latter should be fine. The VW one shows it covers everything.

Well after lurking here for the past few months, taking all the excellent advice on board about not having a particular car in mind, going for the best deal regardless of make etc, I set about my shortlist of the following;

3+35, 20k p.a. £350-£400 per month and over the weekend test drove:

Volvo S90 T4 momentum pro £1051 up front, £350 a month, 7.56p excess miles and purchase a 3 service pack for £399

Peugeot 3008 GT line premium £1072 up front, £357 a month

Kia Proceed 1.6 GDI GT £1099 up front £366 a month, service plan for 5 services £788, 5.68p a mile excess.

However while I was in the Kia dealership there was a Stinger 2.0 turbo GT line S and I went for a spin in it....

FFS. I'm now going to FTK on one in Ceramic Grey with red leather at £1371.96 up front, £457.32 a month, It's got 6000 mile service intervals, so it'll need 10 (10!) over the contract although I can stump up £909 for the first 6, and an excess mileage of 7.78p

I'll get my coat...getmecoat

All I can do is apologise! (It was brilliant though!)

I’ve been trying to find some decent deals on the Megane Trophy 300, below seems to be a bit below everything else I’ve been able to find.

3+23 10k £1865 / £311. Leaseplan

You can get an M140i Shadow Edition, on exactly the same terms as above, for £367 per month.

1+47 @ £367 for 8k per annum.

I think I’d try and find the extra £68 per month...

Or, given that this is the lease thread, just lease the same car. For less money

Ask Santander for a quote, they’re doing the inscription for £599 on a 1+17, I expect the Momentum to be a bit cheaper

How do you get access to the Santander deals?

I concur, the best deals don’t seem to appear on their website. My deal on a v90 certainly did t.

The mrs has just come out of a q5, we found it to be quite small. Once we put the baby pram and seat in the boot there wasn’t room for much else. Definitely a good choice with the XC90 - has m eyes peeled for a good offer for a while but nothing that’s made us bite the bullet as of yet.

Keep us posted if you come across anything 😄😄

Actually not too bad a price if you consider how much car you get for your money. Thanks for sharing - one I will seriously consider.

Anyone know of any good Golf R Estate deals? (Or maybe GTE / GTD).

I’ve always fancied one, they were always mentioned to me as being surprisingly cheap to lease, but I’m looking at 2 year old cars a £500 a month on a PCP.

I’ve not bought a car in 10 years, I’m justing switching from a company car to an allowance so complete clueless and don’t have much of a deposit to use.

That's an amazing deal surely! I'd be FTK if I didn't have the V90.

Great car to lease too - get to have an Alfa without the risk of owning it!
