Even if the Cupra and the GTI were the same price, the Cupra has more horsepower. The Cupra is more comparable to the Golf R if anything.

Also does the GTI have a limited slip differential and adaptive dampers as standard?

It's nearest to the GTI TCR now (same power, FWD and diff).

All GTIs now have the VAQ diff as the normal GTI is discontinued. GTI PP and TCR both have it.

Adaptive dampers aren't standard on any Golf AFAIK, metallic paint is also extra on a Golf and standard on the Leon.

As well as getting a quote on the additional mileage, find out what the excess mileage cost is. You may find that it works out the same cost, and you don't need to commit to the higher spend then! Also, if it's VWFS they might let you 'upgrade' the package if you find yourself doing more miles.
6+23 15k - £400 per mth incl VAT (extra £30pm for colour change from base white colour)
Excess Mileage Charge 9p+VAT

What you reckon?

Yes, excluding any admin/broker fees that are applicable... amortised it's £562 on the VW on the 24m deal and £549 on the 36m deal.
Oh yes you’re right. Got my maths wrong. Divided by 18 not 24.

Toureg on a 2 year lease works out to £575 amortised (including fees). Total lease cost £13,802

XC90 on a 2 year lease works out to £587 amortise. Total lease cost £14,099

XC90 is £300 more expensive over the term. Decisions decisions. Which one would you guys go for????

XC90 also comes with free metallic paint.

Help! Lol

Personally I wouldn't pay near £600 a month for either of them, neither are anyway near special enough for that kind of outlay. There are much cheaper alternatives if you go one level down. A Tiguan Allspace is just as big but almost half the cost.

I've just placed a small deposit on a Leon FR 1.5 Tsi 130.

£231inc 1+23 12.5k miles. £200 fee

Late June delivery (at the earliest I reckon)

Not brilliant but not too bad as I wanted to avoid large initial payments and also prefer 2 year deals.

Nationwide

I would have preferred a diesel but they're getting thin on the grould for obviouc reasons. Hopefully the new petrol engine with 'active cylinder management' will make it not too thirsty.

The FR spec suits me - sports seats, steering wheel & suspension, LED lights and metallic paint all included.

If that is a factory order then I would say you have no hope of a Late June Delivery, I am going to go with September /October at the earliest.

I ordered a Leon 1.5 SE Dynamic on a 6+23 £149 In February for a "Late June Delivery" and after hearing nothing for three months phoned Seat UK with the build number. Turns out provisional build was Week 27 (July 1st) but as the order had not been accepted by the factory that could change. The factory closes for a month in July/August so I don't think I would have seen the car until September. I got bored of waiting in the end and just cancelled.

That seems expensive to me, could you have got a Cupra for not much more?

Oh, and have you driven an FR as I was surprised by the amount of road noise when I test drove one.

Hi Joey,

Yes factory order. "estimated build date" 23rd June. My current lease finishes in early October so I have some wriggle room but I'll cancel if I need to nearer the time and grab a stock deal.

Haven't driven it, no, but hey ho, I can take a little road noise and my current car is a DS3 diesel so prob no worse than that.

Didn't want a cupra - too fast, too thirsty and too expensive to insure for me.

Got a couple of questions. When do the new shape CLAs come available for lease? Tried all the usual places but it seems to be just the old shape.

And was wondering if any of the deal wizards have found a good one for an Audi A6? The tech in these looks awesome!

Also is it weird that I’m seriously considering a DS7...?

I never understand this either, who thinks paying £11198.88 to drive 15k miles is good value?

If you drive so little that you barely need a car, why spend so much money leasing one?

And a diesel with stop start, is that for the economy?

Did you see the ipace £400 month thread?
There's something about having a new gadget sat on the drive even if you dont use it much

I completely agree with the 5k miles rubbish.

10k a year is on a 3+35

£323.57 incl VAT monthly rental
£970.70 incl VAT initial rental

This may suit some people.

DO you know about the 1st gear problems with the new 1.5 engines across different manufactures? People are stalling and all sorts, might want to read up on the reviews before going through with it, it's a couple of pages back someone posted the thread
