Lovely car, as you say great spec, sat in one at the weekend and the front is brilliant, but no headroom at the rear and I’m 5’11” so check whether that’s an issue before you FTK. I’m wondering if this is why the deals are only on the fastbacks not estates as they’re struggling to shift them

Anyone seen the 3 Series Touring Shadow Edition for less than £9432 over 24 months @ 8k miles?

Any idea if they're due a refresh soon, like the A4 in June?
New 3 Series touring is due out soon. New model saloon is a big step forwards, think of it as a small 5 Series to drive.

Do they do referral deals then? Your link suggests so...if so, please share the details smile

I've dropped them a message, as this is about £15pcm cheaper than the next best quote I have.

you read the previous comments about the engine, please dont get it.
Have had a couple of clients with 1.5 Evo engine problems but it does not seem to effect the Golfs or Leon as much. I have not had much involvement but I understand its a flywheel problem which is more noticeable with manual cars but the auto also does it but hides it by dropping a gear.

What are people's opinions on this deal?

Peugeot 508 GT-Line 1.6 8 speed auto
PCH
£222/month on a 3+23 term inc VAT
5k pa
11ppm excess mileage inc VAT
Solid paint, no optional extras
£5772 over the term
OTR price is £31.6k

8k pa is about £20 more per month. Based on 8k pa, I work it out @ 20% of RRP.

It comes with a very decent spec: heated front seats, digital cockpit, large-ish HD infotainment screen with nav/apple carplay/android auto, wireless mobile charging, blindspot detection, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, 18 inch alloys, power fold mirrors, auto lights/wipers, auto emergency braking, lane assistance, etc.

Badge and looks aside (which I don't mind) I think it's one of the better deals we've seen, no? Early talks with the dealership but if other people are interested then I will ask their permission first before posting details on here.
Thanks for the responses - going to FTK. Spec is very good and price is low. I also like the look of the car and seems very nice inside the cabin.

It's actually £1 more per month laugh so it's £223/month as quoted above.

Dealership is Stoneacre Peugeot Chesterfield.

Already enquired yesterday about the cabriolet. Its out of stock, clickbait
Stop overusing the term "click-bait". Was it available as factory order, if so how is that click-bait?
Because it was a 9 + 35 at £288 and now its showing at nearly £400. Also, they sent me the offer for a coupe instead of the cab. When I initially enquired about the cab.

It’s a great deal but I believe genuine lead times are more like November (have heard this from both Mill Volvo in the North East and Clive Brook Volvo in North Yorkshire).

Yes, I mentioned referral on a previous post.

Stoneacre told me September, then when I’d booked it they changed that to late August. They said if cars are sold they speed the processing up. They also said they come by train from China. These are cars the dealer has already ordered, I couldn’t change the spec. Maybe the other dealers were later with their orders?

Further to the Leon FR 1.5tsi deal mentioned above - could I ask where the best deals are coming from at the moment? I've been on to a couple of local dealers but they are frustratingly hit and miss with comms….
Not sure how good the deal is but I'm taking delivery of a Seat Leon ST FR 1.5tsi 130 next Wednesday. £257pm on a 1+23 15k per year from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts if that helps.

Yes, perhaps the quoted lead times I was given was for fresh factory orders rather than the ones the garages have ordered for their own stock as soon as they came available.

I think my current S90 wait (approaching 8 months) has made me a twisted and cynical individual, haha.

I spoke to Fleetprices and they mentioned a 6 month wait for delivery on the S90 if ordered now

Not entirely sure myself. This is the all-new 508 which I gather has only been available to order for the past month or two? Agree with the rear headroom, fortunately the 3rd person in our car would be 5ft6 so no problems there.

And for the person asking about lead times - I was told it was a factory order (for the solid colour) and that delivery would be around July/August. We don't need it until Sept anyway and Daniel said he was happy to delay delivery until then (potentially longer). Added small bonus of a 69 plate too then.

Ultimately, it was a toss up between the 508 Fastback and S90 saloon as they are currently the 2 'best value' saloons according to leasing.com. Also 2 Volvo dealers told me factory order would mean December or even January 2020 delivery for the S90. eek Went for the 508 due to the slightly better spec, better lead time and lower overall cost (but I do realise that the S90 has a higher OTR price).

isnt the 508 fastback in the same category as an Arteon than S90?

Yes, you are right but as the Arteon is currently 50% more expensive on a comparable 3+23 term then it was quickly dismissed.

I'm happy to chase the deal rather than chase the car IYKWIM.

any last decent deals going on the M140i's anyone?
Check out TRL’s sponsored section of the Babybmw forum. He’s usually the best, and by all accounts good to deal with. His recent 140i deals have been pretty unbearable with about £10k ‘assistance’.
Thank you, have emailed smile

Did anyone order an Arteon back in August/September? I went for the S90 due to the long lead times from VW (the irony considering the wait I've had).

Was just wondering if anyone received their car or know when it is coming?

Still waiting on the 2.0 190 TSI Arteon, latest news is July for factory starting orders then the usual build time so looking like late Oct or Nov. Not holding my breathe though!

Been looking at the 508, it has a few bits missing from the Arteon - rear view camera, keyless entry and blind spot monitoring but loses the ACC, matrix LEDs and the full leather seats. Also its lighter but that 1.6 engine gives away loads of torque so the road tests on the Arteon have it winning all the in gear tests. I tried the 225 version and found that a bit weak so that has put me off the 180 a bit. Also found the seat base in the 508 less comfy. Still they are actually available which is a big plus on the VW!!! smile
