Anyone seen any decent deals for Hyundai i30 N, VW GTI or BMW M140i? Currently got a Cupra and looking at my next options.
Decent GTI deal a few posts back, only manuals though

OK, own up. Who nabbed the last Volvo V90 Cross country deal @ £294 (1+17) from Santander last night
Hahaha didn’t realise I was in competition! Sounds like they had a sales event so somebody must have bought it outright, hopefully at a massive discount so good for them!
Did they offer you the V90 R Design for the same price? That was still a very good deal but Mrs prefers the higher ride hight, so back to Kodiaq deals for me

Cost of metallic is £675. 23 x £20 is £460, so you’re not paying the full cost. Still does seem expensive to me though
The cost of metallic is also in the deposit. So will likely workout full rrp.

To others saying about that GTI price
The price of GTI’s has been steady for last few months. Has been little to no movement. Hopefully VW push the ones in stock soon.

Exactly that, I might have gone for it with the T5 but not the T4.

EDIT: depending on your budget Toureg deals look good, too expensive for me, at that price I’d take an Alfa Stelvio

Been watching the GTI daily since January and in the last week they have come down circa £30-40 a month on a 9x23 10k miles. Stock cars. Got bored in the end and ordered a Cupra last month. Still watching the prices though in case they plummet.

Just wish the auto was as fairly priced.

On some sites they have gone up! Uchoose was £197 for last 3 months now it’s £204 or something. I think it’s more a case of prices being updated by brokers or heavily advertised than a campaign by VW.

Same with Polo GTI+ shown as in stock yet prices arnt great but pushed by some brokers as amazing deals.

When should I ask for an extension quote, Golf GTi deal ends in Nov. If I get a quote now do I ask for another later in term and does it differ much? Is the extension fixed at 12 months or can it be shorter?
I asked last week for a formal 6 month extension. Theory being you take 6 months then informally extend another 3 months at the same extension price which means avoiding 3rd birthday/MOT/service.

Original deal was £286 inc vat on 1 + 23, 8k mpa, manual, no options. 6 month extension for 4000 miles offered at £195 inc. Think I'll extend as by April 20 mk8 GTI and R should have landed.

I've got the V90 R-Design. I love the seats and the mood lighting, but I'd prefer the Momentum or Cross Country suspension. It's just that bit too firm for my tastes.

I went for the R design for the S90 as it looks nicer than the Momentum in my opinion, even though the changes aren’t huge.

I’m hoping the ride isn’t too firm - the majority of my miles will be on the motorway and I’ll be sticking it in comfort, so hopefully won’t be too bad!

According to my lease broker , icarlease. I guess every broker source from the same place when there is a deal.

Yes stock deals gone, but the discounted deals for the stock cars only anyway.

My A4 is up in October and after receiving an extension quote £75pm more than I am currently paying I am now looking elsewhere.

With regards the Santander scheme I take it you need an account with them (not a huge issue to open one, if so).

Their Mazda 6 deal looks quite interesting. Anyone any experience of one?
Hi,

I am in the same boat. My A4 goes back in October and I have requested an extension quote (awaiting). This will be my second extension. Initial payment was £236 over 2 years 10k miles per annum. First extension payment reduced to £190 over 12 months 12 k miles. Is your lease via Audi/VW finance. After reading your post im not hopeful that they will give me a decent quote. Ive requested two quotes based on 6 and 12 months.

Sal
I would be interested to hear your quote Sal, yes mine was Audi/VW Finance.

I am not sure if the quote will get better as I get nearer the end of lease.

I was quite surprised, as a guy I work with has an A4 S Line, due back in August and his payments went down £50!

I can only think that the fact mine is a Black Edition in Quantum Grey may make it harder to shift than an S Line in black!

Considering options here and a truck might work for me.

What is the position with trucks and tax? I’ll be receiving a car allowance from my employer and using the car for about 30/40% work and the rest personal. I can’t take the business rate obviously but heard a few folk alluding to not paying the tax due to the commercial vehicle aspect. Any advice appreciated and also recommendations going from an S5.

I could be wrong here, but if you receive a car allowance, then you're taxed on that and not the vehicle. So there wouldn't be any benefit to running a crew cab pick up?

Looks like Skoda are pulling the 1.5 engine from their Kodiaq range in Germany, Skoda’s biggest market. Production will cease this summer. Wonder how long it’ll be till VW admit defeat.
