First time leasing... why would leasing options ask for my tax returns?
They are probably trying to establish affordability but they shouldn't need this. Credit check should be all that's required unless you are a recent startup?

Not as much difference as at first appears between the e-tron and the i-pace. On 8k miles over 3 years an i-pace is £638/month (£658 for 24 months)

E-Tron on 2 years is £593
Not sure I've an I-PACE number quite that low. And in fairness it's a cheaper vehicle so the % of list is not as good - not that I much care other than the mental block of 'getting a good deal' smile

According to Experian I have 945 rating.

Listed job as self employed. Right hassle just to order a car.

I suspect it is because you are self employed. They are a bit twitch at the moment due to brexit apparently!

Just an update on the return of my Golf R. It was collected on the 22nd by BCA, they marked down some stone chips but said they should be within the guidelines. The paperwork that I signed was a little ambiguous as it effectively just said that the front of the car was damaged without any detail.

I spotted it up for auction exactly a week later, it was graded as 'Grade 1' which is the highest/best condition, but they'd noted down a 'dent' on the front bumper as well as the stone chips. I wasn't aware of any dents, but I had damaged the underside of the front bumper on a particularly steep bit of Devon. It wasn't really visible unless you were underneath the vehicle so I didn't bother doing anything about it.

I hadn't heard anything from Lex who supplied the car so I gave them a call today. No charges, all settled. thumbup

That's my second lease that's gone back without any surprises.

Just spoke to Paul at total motion, my A class order is all fully locked in now. smile Will of course post pics once it arrives in around 4 weeks.

They didn't end up advertising the deal as people from this thread snapped them all up smile to say he's curious/intrigued by the thread is an understatement!!

Got chatting about other deals (god, even when I've got a car on order I still can't help but ask for you lot lol) and he mentioned this one that's live on their site.

https://www.pinkcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/kia/c...

Kia Ceed 5 door GT Line
1+11 8k £189/month

Now it's no A class but still a tidy looking car for anyone that wants 12 months cheap motoring.

Disclaimer: I've got nothing to do with Total Motion or Pink Car leasing as they're now known other than having a couple of good friendly chats with Paul and he seems a sound chap.

As an aside he believes that brokers can't post deals on this thread, is that correct? I thought I've seen brokers posting deals from time to time we just want them to be 100% open that they're a broker and post decent deals not rubbish ones.

So what did you do? Send them tax returns etc.

Lesson learnt, never tell them your self employed. Waste of time..feckers.

I also got in on the A Class deal and whilst I have been lurking for a long time this is my first, what are your plans on the first service?
