Who's the founder? MBFS is 95% to return early, so no point. First service will be around £200 or cheaper. You can check cost of service on Mercedes website: https://www.mymercedesservice.co.uk/#/your-vehicle just use some other car reg.
Can we just get them to pick the car up a few days early and then not need to do the service?

No because they're all registered as of end of March so service will become due end March 2020 and the lease runs (assuming yours is same as mine with delivery end of April) to end April 2020

So service due a month before it goes back

On the upside my local dealer does have a good stock of cakes and biscuits so just need to get a few hundred quids worth of those lol

Does anyone know of any deals with either a zero deposit needed or low.

After another break down I'm getting fked off with older cars and want something new.

Nothing fancy is needed. Monthly payments of £200 or so.

We get Co-Op discount with insurance policies, so tried an online quote - declined! I added a limited company as the main policy holder and also tried "no" as me been the main policy holder - both times declined.

I called Co-Op - "we do not cover vehicles where the policy holder is not the owner"

So, i search the Co-Op website:

Q: Does the policyholder have to be the registered keeper?
A:
No, the registered keeper can be the

policyholder
policyholder's spouse or civil partner
lease company.

Really confused!!!

Just spoke to leasing options

The deal is exactly as per website. It’s a special Hukd offer on the non lux model.

No cars In stock, estimated 12-14 weeks wait time.
So the deal hasn’t ended, considering this was late in the day?

Any ideas if they will do 1+23?

Hi all.

Bit of advice - does anyone know if you can cancel a lease before taking delivery of a car? I’ve signed the paper work, but I haven’t paid any money yet. The car is due for delivery in a few months.

Just a quick one hopefully, my head can't figure it out.

Sending current lease car back a bit early (VWFS), so have a quote for that which expires 30/04. Go get the most value out of it, am I best to pay it that day and then arrange the collection? Will they then charge for the day's/couple of weeks the car is kept between paying it and BCA collecting?

There are no charges to keep the vehicle after settlement paid. You could in theory delay booking BCA for several weeks... a month+ might raise eyebrows unless you genuinely can’t get a booking. Just settled my VW lease which terminates 06/04. The car is being inspecting & collected 12/04

Once you sign the finance papers you have 14 days cooling off period, they then deliver the car.

Beet askimg the lease company where you stand. You will be credit checked again if buying another deal

What did you go for out of interest?

Unsure mate.

Maybe best asking them? That deal is a special one found on Hukd.

Yeah, it’s a strange one as obviously the car isn’t being delivered until June so I’ve only signed up to the initial terms, I haven’t signed the official finance papers yet. Presume that means I can probably still cancel.

I’m really torn. I went for one of the Golf R estate deals which came up about 6 weeks ago but there’s now another decent Cupra 290 deal that’s come up. Think I’d still prefer the golf, but the Cupra deal is nearly 2k cheaper over the term so it’s great value.

In 2016 i cancelled a Golf R and it was st the dealer ready for me to collect it. I lost my 300 admin fee that was it. Best check your specific terms and conditions though

How do I find when it was registered (if you had never told me).

I have no idea when my other car was registered and was intending to service it a year after picking it up. Are lease companies even that strict?

Vehicle enquiry on gov website. It will give you date of first registration, road tax status amd MOT status.

Also, car will probably indicate that it needs service.

Yes but there may be a penalty. My paperwork for instance says that if I cancel I have to pay £600.

As I understand it you can’t return it if the service light is on.
My expectation is that the cars ‘12 month timer’ will start ticking from the point that they register it and do whatever they do in the car to ‘turn it on’! Not the correct term obviously.

We may be pleasantly surprised and the cars may be day dormant until delivery prep, won’t know until they arrive and we figure out how to check somehow

In Mercedes, you just check it in menu. If in doubt, read manual.

I am tempted by the 3 year deal on the Leasing options Cupra - yes I know I may end up putting tyres and servicing it, but spread the deposit over the 3 years and it work out cheaper and saves looking for a car every 14 months thanks to the crappy lead times - though that could get better once WLTP catch up is out of the way.
Brexit is also playing a factor, ive been told this by leasing ops. I was told end of March delivery, its been delayed a month, after havibg a moan theyve tood me everyone has the dame delays at the moment because of brexit. Ive beeb told Seat are using 10 ports instead of 2 at the moment to try and get over the back log of cars
