Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 7)

I learned a couple of lessons on my last changeover - which in the end was fine:
1) Swapping on the same day is a ballache with insurance and stressful when your collection and delivery people wont commit to a 1/2 day window and just say they'll be with you on the day. Arguably predictable but there you go I wont schedule this way again
2) When your new car arrives over a month early than agreed/predicted and the company *cough* Volvo *cough* set the service schedule at arrival at dealer not PDI or collection by customer and so on a fixed yearly servicing mandate you're screwed in terms of gaming it. Having said that my lease is 18 months so no issues. And who besides Volvo insists on fixed yearly servicing anyway????
Cheers
Unless you're going to keep one car forever I can't see why any of this is specific to a lease.1) Swapping on the same day is a ballache with insurance and stressful when your collection and delivery people wont commit to a 1/2 day window and just say they'll be with you on the day. 1) Never had any issue with our insurance when switching cars. They've always afforded 7 days overlap cover without cost. There's always some potential hassle, wether leasing or buying, unless you're PXing with the same dealer (usually not financially prudent). For example when I bought my Cayenne, I had to drop my existing car to the buying dealer as they couldn't arrange collection to coincide with the new cars delivery date.
2) They shouldn't really do that. But even if they do that's a minor inconvenience. Its when the car is very very late that you're potentially screwed. My Cayenne was 6 weeks late. Fortunately it wasn't a big issue for me as the dealer buying my car was happy to wait and didn't adjust the price. And to be honest I could afford to take a hit anyway. But with some of the lead times after WLTP debacle, I can see that could be a PITA. Again if you're with the same funder for both, or PXing with the same dealer, that mitigates the risk. Also if leasing some funders will allow informal extensions for several months.
But if you have to hand your current lease back, or have secured a decent price on your existing car, then youre taking some sort of hit if your new car is very late.

Mercedes Benz and servicing costs are ridiculous compared to VAG/BMW. The 5 year service plan on my 6GC cost less then the first two years servicing on a C class :/Decent deal on a family runaround if needed;
1+35, 5k £214.80/month no fees. 8k is about a tenner more and 10k a tenner more on top.

Been looking for a replacement for our Evoque for a little while, need something slightly bigger and not RR /LR as not been too impressed on reliability, also need min 12,000 miles p.a. Mrs not keen on Volvo so has come down to Q5 or X3. Best can find is

Is this standard? Our lease with Nissan Finance up at the beginning of October but would rather hold off to the start of the year if nothing startling comes up.
My S60 is up soon and Volvo Finance would only give a 1 month extension so you'd best give them a ring just in case. nocturne_sa said:

No idea how the brokers get them so cheap but you've got to love it. Incidentally, Leaseloco have the car at £265 now so maybe the price came down after I sent that?
Maybe their system was just playing catch-up. In any case, looks a decent price considering it's £529 on a 1+18 at Santander. To eaunoire, who asked if it was a stock deal, I think it's a factory order but when I was talking to Santander earlier in the year they said if you see a stock vehicle in a Volvo dealership just ask them to run a Santander 1-2-3 lease on it to get you a price. Apparently they should all know how to do this. I've never tried it in practice though.

I do 10k-12.5k a year
£40 separates them, will the diesel dsg be that much better in fuel than the petrol?
It’s for commuting only not bothered about performance.

What's your commute? town or free running roads.
If the engine gets up to temp ( 10 miles each way say) the diesel might shade the economy.
If it's lots of smaller trips then petrol,
just bagged a V90 Momentum Plus for £272 on 3+23, 5k from Wessex, stock vehicle coming in Sept.
Replacing my S90 which ill terminate early (about £300 to cancel in Sept, was due back end-Dec)
Was very tempted by the Stoneacre 3008 deal which has tons of kit, but think the V90 just shades it for prestige and the fact it has adaptive cruise control and full leather ( the former i think has become the most important gadget for me on a car now).
Replacing my S90 which ill terminate early (about £300 to cancel in Sept, was due back end-Dec)

They had some in stock now I think, but they had 3 coming in at end-August (one osmium grey which I have taken, two onyx black).
was the usual £199 fee.
I am paying £255 on 6+23 for my S90 Momentum (had added the rear sensors as an option), this works out about the same price over 2 years and is better spec (full TFT display, 18" alloys, rear camera, on call app etc)
EDIT - should add its the T4 Auto

If you know when your lease is up then you can normally time it pretty well. I might have fked up this time...was holding off way too long for a factory order looking for something decent to come up. Was close to running out of time so thought I’d just pick up a stock car close to my lease being up.
Then the deal on the model 3 came up. 2 1/2 months from order till my current deal is up. Who knows, maybe it’ll happen.
Has anyone leased short term on Drover or Carpe? Just looks so expensive per month, even if it’s only a month or so.
Pretty sure the lease cos give you some leeway too though as they know it’s a problem for people.
I am currently using Drover. It is first month. So far it is all right. There is £149 joining fee as well. However, there was £100 promo code (expired now) when I joined so joining fee was much less for me. You can still use £50 promo code of existing users (email me if you are interested). ThanksThen the deal on the model 3 came up. 2 1/2 months from order till my current deal is up. Who knows, maybe it’ll happen.

Would love an X3 but they are too expensive at the moment. Seems like a lot of support for them on PCP but for the price on lease, better of with the GLC, xc60 which are much cheaper BMW X3 2.0d Msport auto
