Ok. I got another car funded by Arval a couple of months ago, the finance docs came directly via Arval (broker2 team) to sign hence I was wondering. I suppose the Velars are being done differently. I’ve now received my order docs so finance docs should be next.

All other documents are fine to be signed and scanned for the order etc, but the finance agreement (final paperwork) needs to be old-school paper copies which are posted out to you, signed and returned as paper copies. Not sure why, but that is what I have been told. Waiting for my paper copies now.

I don't think that's right. I've previously online docu signed the finance docs for both Hitachi and Arval. It depends on the financing company.

You've probably got the best deal I've seen .. well done ! Mine was identical spec at 3+23 10k £486. A bit puzzling why the rates are different for exactly the same car - mileage differential is well below what they have quoted me at 14 ppm. Either way I'm not complaining as long as I get the car as its still a fantastic deal !

Just been quoted £312 a month on a new shape CLA 220AMG Line.

3+23 with 10k per annum so cost over the term is £8,310. The list price is around £32.5k so I make this around 25% which seems a decent if not amazing deal.

Probably going to go for it.

That is exactly what I have been told by Paul at Pink for my Velar deal. Can't see why he would not know what they require(?).

The signed paperwork may be something to do with the high value of the car, as that is one of the reasons I was given for the financial approval process being a bit more 'picky' than usual.
Ignore all of that, online documents have just arrived, so I had been given duff info.

Who's that with? I'm looking for one at the moment, but ideally want the Premium or Premium Plus. Also, whats the excess mileage charge on that quote?

I have a disco sport on lease for myself already but need a second car.

Yeah, I couldn't get my head around why 10k was priced more than 8k + 2000*14ppm (£280). £120 difference over 2yrs.


My sister works for JLR and can afford me access to the employee Privilege Scheme. They have 1yr old ex management Velars with <10k miles, fully loaded with 4k of extras for between £44k and £48k depending on engine. I was so close to pulling the trigger numerous times but the numbers just didn't add up.

By the time you take into consideration:

1. Depreciation (Based on GFV)
2. 4.9% APR
3. 3 years road tax (465*3)

It was working out at just over £21K for 3yrs, and would be out of warranty after 2. The only way I could see it being a good deal is if you were a cash buyers.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

(2 year lease for 5k/PA 9+23 £ 347.17) = £462.89

It does seem odd that it is cheaper to take out a lower mileage agreement and then pay the excess mileage charge at the end (if you go over)! There is only a few pounds in it, but it does still seem a bit strange. Are your excess miles still 14ppm?

Over 12,000 miles at £1.31/litre and an average 34mpg, Vs 16p/kWh at the Model 3's WLTP rating, you'd save £3,600 on fuel alone.

It still makes the cost of the lease around 25%, but it might be easier to stomach.

Incidentally, if you're going to spend more than the £1,750 difference in two year on tyres, maintenance, and insurance, it would surely be better to get the SR+ from EVEzy for £599 per month.
