Nicky at Arnold Clark. Great guy and I know the issue is out of his hands. It was due first week of October and is now due towards the end of November leaving me with no car.

I have heard on other forums that Mercedes of Perth have been providing courtesy cars to customers affected by this delay but I’m doubting this is something that’ll be possible for myself.
worth an ask as if the cars delayed from.what you where told then should provide you with a courtesy car be worth asking !

I’ve got a cupra on order, estimated end of November. Still keeping my eyes peeled for a good A35 deal though 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Just out of curiosity, what’s the fee to cancel your cupra order?

This is a good deal I reckon and a nice car to boot.

Cheaper if you go for the 18 month term instead of the 24 months

Hey All,

I've leased a couple of cars in the past and have always managed to find good deals. but this time i have been unable to find a decent deal to replace mine in March 2020

My previous 2 deals (6+23 & 10k Miles incl Maintenance)

Audi A4 Sport 1.4TFSI Manual - (£220pm) total cost - £6380

Audi A4 S Line 1.4TFSI Auto with Tech Pack (£255 pm) total cost - £7385.

Is anyone aware of any good deals on 10k/12k miles on a 24 month contract with or without maintenance:
Audi A5, Audi A6 (S line)
Merc C Class saloon/coupe or E class saloon/coupe (AMG Line)
Bmw 3, 4 or 5 series (M Sport)

Thanks in advance
I'm looking for a Cupra replacement and need more space so looking at saloons and estates.

Struggling to find anything intersting to drive with 250bhp+ for max £300ish. Got a qoute with leasing options on another Cupra non-lux @ £304 on 1+23 with 10k miles per year, just wish the ST was this price as I wouldn't hesitate to go for that with the bigger boot (even if could choose no 4motion to lower the price).

You may be interested in the best option I found so far - VW Arteon SE 2.0 TSI 190 direct with VW. £293 on same profile and miles as the Cupra qoute above.

It doesn't look as good as the R-Line and have to live with cloth seats, no virtual cockpit, urano grey and basic parking sensors. Also given it's size/weight and engine I wouldn't expect much fun or driver involvement. It does still have a pretty decent spec though such as ACC.

Not signed up yet as half hoping for a better and/or cheaper deal...

Might be worth looking at the Volvo S60 T5

Ordering a Volvo is acceptance of achieving middle age. Too much of a stigma attached not them for me 😂

Decent deals nevertheless.

Very tempted to FTK on the Leon Cupra Lux with Leasing Options.

£1,499.94 Initial + £249.99 / Month (+ £199.00 Fee).

My current lease doesn't expire until 23rd March 2020 however I’ve spoke to them today and they’ll hold the Cupra until then.

Half of me says order it and the other is telling me I’m being too premature considering it’s over 6 months away!
Just FTK’d on this, now I’m excited!
Nice.

You've got me looking at them now. My current lease is also up in March (Leon FR which I'm really enjoying) and I just can't decide whether to give in to temptation and FTK this early scratchchin

Hey, worth a try? Let me know if you do get anything.

Have you tried asking for an informal extension on your current lease. I know VWFS give them for a month at a time but will refund you for what you don't use.
This isn't an option for me due to Merc service intervals. My current lease will be 2 years old at the time of it going back, if I send it back a few days early I can get away with not doing the 300-400 (sigh) second service, whereas if I keep it for that extra month it'll be expensive.

There is an almost £300 fee to pay too which the original deal did not have so pretty much negates the shorter term. Either way the deal on the T5 R Design at less than £300 on a 3+23 is good. Very good in the current climate, don’t expect anything over 30mpg but it will be quite a lot of fun with that engine.

Get it done biggrin

You’re in the exact same position as me, I also have a Leon FR up in March, and now I feel like a Seat salesman!

I can cancel for free if I do so within the next 2weeks.
I really like the cupra, so will more than likely stick with. But I made the mistake of test driving a A35. If I could get one in and around £300. I’d do it.

I received a quote which included VAT which did seem cheap, I then proceeded to do a finance check, which I passed, I then got an order form sent through (which included this same price, which states VAT included) which I then signed and sent back....
Any armchair lawyers want to weigh in on this? Should the leasing company not have to suck up the mistake?

Turned out the deal was too good to be true,

I received a quote which included VAT which did seem cheap, I then proceeded to do a finance check, which I passed, I then got an order form sent through (which included this same price, which states VAT included) which I then signed and sent back....

.... to then be told there was an error and the original email and the documentation since then is actually without VAT. I completely understand it is human error on their side and that the original price was cheap, but it's still very very disappointing either way, especially considering I've now signed documents which state that price.

Now I'm back to the drawing board in trying to find an alternative to the very delayed A250 Prem Plus I have on order.
That happened to me with Arnold Clark, the difference was they admitted their mistake but then honoured the quote.

Wife is currently 18 months into a Merc GLA200 AMG Line Exec with Night Pack for £185 a month. (3+35) It's going to be a shock when we come to replace it!

If you find one for £300 please let us all know! (Not with 12 month initial either wink )

That's fair. Got my car going back from a 3 year lease so I'm trying to avoid doing MOT and any issues past warranty so will prob have to return it as well.

Got an estimated date of 15th of November but ordered about early July so with your delays, might be looking at december time now frown.

For those about to hop in to a Cupra, or looking at it. My costs over a two year lease have been:

Expense:
1st year service: £199.
Front tyres (7.5k/14 months in): £144 per corner.

If you're on a 24mth lease find out when the latest date is you can have it serviced and book it for them, should give you some wiggle room at the end.

Issues/Obs:
Clutch is crap for manual, can't take the power.
Developed a few rattles in door skins.
Road noise, not the quietest car.
Soundaktor (disable or snip it).

Otherwise a decent car with a lovely engine if slightly disengaging at times. Like any car with FWD/300bhp in the wet with the OEM tyres, it's wheel tramp city. I'm sending it back probably in need of new discs, new pads and certainly a new clutch on top of its 2 year service, and probably 3 months away from needing 4 new tyres.

On that basis I wouldn't recommend a maintained car if you're taking a 24 month deal.
