I ordered an A class at the end of June and I know from seeing forums that a lot people's orders have been delayed. Tbh, I will probably be looking till the end of November, at least, before I even get a build slot.
They're definitely having issues but not communicating them and keeping their customers in the dark. Pretty weird from a premium brand such as mercedes.
After having a number of Mercedes (business and personal), I'd no longer class them as a premium brand. In my experience they are really poor. They're definitely having issues but not communicating them and keeping their customers in the dark. Pretty weird from a premium brand such as mercedes.

Those of you waiting for your Mercedes, last week I saw this article:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-03...
Obviously the article points to one vehicle type, but there could be a wider logistics issue backing up the factory.

I've found out that Arval now DO offer their lease customers an option to buy at the end of the lease (previously this wasn't the case) via BCA. They can't give me a figure until the end of next month so I wanted to ask if anyone else has had a price from them to buy their car and if so, was it competitive compared with similar 2yr old cars in the dealer network for example? I'd be very interested in buying my Golf R at the end so if anyone has had figures for one of those specifically that would be even better.

1. I've never heard of this place.
2. You will be lucky to see one of these engines this side of next summer. (Mercedes have restricted supply of these to the UK and no dealers have any allocation currently right the way up to October, and likely in to 2020).

Hi
A quick question if anyone knows? Say you had a Lease car with annual mileage of 6k for 3 years. So total 18k, could you do say 7k in year one 7 in year 2 then 4K Year 3 to total 18k without excess mileage charge? Or would you be charged for the first 2 years doing 1k over the annual allowance at the excess mileage rate?
Or does this totally depend on finance provider?
Hope that makes sense ??
In my experience it's only the total mileage that is of significance.A quick question if anyone knows? Say you had a Lease car with annual mileage of 6k for 3 years. However it may be worth noting that If you were to do 14k over 2 years then decide to hand the car back early you would be charged pro-rata for the mileage.
eg
18k miles over 3 years gives 12k miles for 2 years. If you had done 14k and handed back early you'd be billed for the 2k over.
Some really cheap deals with CVSL for Mercedes E220d Amg Line estates. On a 6+23 10,000 mile a year deal they are coming out at £261.48 + VAT per month.
BUT if you do big mileage the deals work out even better. I am going for 25,000 miles per year and it works out at just £311.42 + VAT 6+23 .

Barnetts apparently sold 26 Touaregs on the 0% PCP deal in a week
As of Monday they had 2 cars en route, packed with options at near £500 a month
No idea whether the 0% PCP is a Barnetts deal or a VW-wide deal (plus shouldn't be talking PCP on a lease thread!)
inchoate also had a swag at 0%As of Monday they had 2 cars en route, packed with options at near £500 a month

It’s worth pointing out all of these were used cars ranging from 3 months to over a year old and mileages varying from 50 to 10k so not as good a deal it first appears. The one with 50 ish miles on was actually well over a year old. Burwood said:
