Anyone seen better than £9206.40 over 2 years @10k for a BMW i3 Lodge interior? (£287.70 per month + 2589.30)?

I went with the rates on What Car @ £281.69pm (Listers BMW) for a quote and of course they said the prices have changed/errors etc and it's now £295pm but they'll meet me in the middle. I'd already asked for a quote from Dick Lovett Swindon who also quoted £295 and are now wanting to see the Listers email as they shouldn't be able to beat that due to FCC regulations etc. Oops. I just want the best price so don't intend to stitch them up!

Also interested to hear if this varies for the size of wheels, ie is an 18 inch charged the same as a 21 inch?
It's a flat rate charge per wheel - regardless of size or whether it is diamond cut etc

Assuming the repair is a 'free insurance' repair job, then tread carefully. I have been clobbered with this when I had a 'free' repair done on a windscreen chip. It didn't cost me a bean, but my insurance then went up at renewal for the next 5 years as it still goes on your insurance record as a claim. It would have been cheaper for me to just replace the whole windscreen at my cost in the long run.
I've not heard of that happening before and have had several repairs or replacement screens over the years but guess some companies have differing views.

Have you test driven a GLC before? For some reason they feel slightly more flimsy than a C-Class but they’re a lot more expensive. If you haven’t driven one i’d recommend having a go.

Agreed on that, colleague had a £50k+ one to try and we both felt it was Ford/Vauxhall level quality, he got an end of line X5 instead. Very disappointing.

Third this, although I have a C class and the quality of the interior is terrible, so many things creak and rattle and the customer service from Mercedes dealerships is terrible. Over 2 years it's been in the dealership over 6 times and there are still numerous issues with the car that I can no longer bother getting fixed as I will be selling soon.

Oh wow! I have just come out of a c350e company car for 3 years and did 70k miles on it and i loved it! Not one issue with it over the 3 years. But as i now have 2 small babies i need something abit bigger so i thought the GLC would be perfect. I did want a q5 but they seem way out of my budget of £450 a month and 16k miles a year. I have had bmws in the past but find the interior to be... boring. Hmmm

£8,954 here but that is after 22 emails. I still didn't take the deal as I am waiting for another one to beat the price by tomorrow as she is confident about that.
I will let you know tomorrow evening if they could beat the price and give you the details of the person I spoken with.

I am trying for 2 weeks now to get a cheaper price and I was told exactly the same thing, the prices have changed, the site has not been updated.

Thoughts on this Audi A5 35 TSI Tronic
£227 per month
£2047 initial deposit (9 months)
£240 admin fee
10k miles
If the cars retail price is £35k then this works out to be around 22%. Seems like a good deal to me

Thoughts ?

Just spoken with BCA about collecting my VWFS vehicle and they tell me it will be an inspection and collection , someone mentioned on here previously that they used to inspect and give you a few days to out things right before coming to collect the vehicle. Anyhow overall the vehicle is in very good condition and I would struggle looking at fair wear and tear where they would pull me, tyres all good, no dents etc. However on the weekend whilst cleaning the vehicle I noticed a very small chip on the windscreen, no more than 1mm across and less than 1mm deep, it's just like a nick on the glass, it's out of drivers line of sight, how picky are they with these, it will cost me £10 to get it done via AutoGlass but it is so small if I was not returning the vehicle I would never get it done, only noticed when cleaning, could of been there weeks. Don't want to get stung so what the chances from experience of inspections / collections on here.
If you take a look at the fair wear and tear policy you’ll find that chips up to (iirc) 2.5cm in diameter are acceptable, as long as they’re not in the direct line of sight of the driver. With that in mind I handed an Audi S5 back a couple of months ago with a chip which was almost that size, and sure enough, the BCA inspector didn’t bat an eyelid.

Awesome, cheers for that! Feel free to tell them you have someone else who'll take them up on the same offer, might help having 2 sales! You were the one who gave me the info in the first place. smile

Due to hand back a BMW to Arval on 14/10. Recieved notification the MOT is due 24/10 but they want the car MOT'd by 11/10. As we are handing the car back before the MOT is due, i presume I can ignore this as it isn't due until after we hand back confused

Yes. If you're handing it back before the MOT date, you don't need to do the MOT.

I’ll agree the BCA inspectors I’ve had come and inspect my VAG leases have been more than fair, also the prices for any work, small dings etc, seem to be trade too so don’t bother with getting it done as I doubt you’ll get it done cheaper imhe.
