My Leon Cupra deal is coming to an end in December. Loved it for 3 years but time for something a little more sensible. Thinking of pulling the trigger on the below from Fleetprices.

Vehicle Description: Skoda Karoq SUV 1.5 TSi ACT 150 SportLine 5Dr DSG [Start Stop]
Fuel Type: Petrol
Transmission: Automatic

excess mileage: 10ppm

Rental Payment Profile: 3 + 35
Initial Rental Payment: £832.92
Monthly Rental Payment: £277.64
Annual Mileage: 10,000
Excess Mileage Charge: 10.00 pence per mile (ppm)

Do we think it’s a good deal? The sportline spec seems to tick all the boxes.

With the 4 Series GC Deal, if there’s no admin fee, what’s the deposit amount they take to book a slot? The initial rental of £1000 normally comes out my account just after the car gets delivered right?

I cancelled my 420i order so there should still be one available.

I’m in Glasgow and can’t be bothered travelling down to collect and then also return the car in 24 months. That’s 750 miles out of my 20,000 allowance.

It’s also 7 hours of driving. Not for me.

Disappointed they don’t deliver. I’ve had 5 lease cars between me and my wife. All delivered free of charge.
My wife wasn't too pleased when I explained to her we'd be going on a trip to Bristol to pick up the car (we're in Glasgow too) biggrin

I'm no too fussed, been on many a trip down south to pick up cars. Delivery would certainly be less hassle though!
Same, plus the wife doesn’t like the 18s.

Same. Couldn't be arsed with all the hassle.

The search continues...
I find it astonishing that someone would choose to miss out on a bargain JUST because it's too much trouble to go and fetch it.

And what's so important about having windows in the back that are a bit more tinted than those in the front?

Nor do I understand the obsession with huge alloys that make ride quality harsher. Nothing like spoiling the car for small aesthetic benefits.

"Just take the standard car and enjoy the deal"; isn't that the mantra of this thread?

Weird priorities!

Guys,

Anyone aware of any deals on any bigger performance SUV's/Estates?

My SQ7 is due to go back in December - at the time the local dealership matched some on-line pricing and I got it on a £540 p.m deal on 6 & 23 - 8k p.a. - but now apparently Audi have centralised their leasing process and a replacement is coming it at nearly DOUBLE that amount (via the Dealership) - so thats out of the question.

So now need to source a replacement - ideally wanted another SQ7 or SQ8 - but guess I will also need to look at Merc and BMW alternatives?...or anything else?

I've managed to get various deals over the last 5 years of leasing... These are as follows:

Mercedes SL 350 - RRP 72k lease price 343 6/23 Inc vat (my car)

Golf R - circa 34k lease price 221 6/23 Inc vat (my car)

Golf GTi - circa 26k lease price 99 Inc vat (2k upfront) extended for another year at 120 Inc vat

AUDI S8 - circa 70k lease 400 Inc vat 6/23 my car

Mercedes e300 Cab circa 48k lease 343inc vat 6/23 (partners car)

ALLTRACK - the famous all track deal...worst car ever I was around £160 inc with no deposit...friend of mine paid 2k upfront for the 59inc vat deal. Handed it back early...

Missed deals (deals I've either had an order for or signed paperwork but never went through with the deal...

FERRARI 488 - lease deal was if I recall 1500inc with no deposit for 18 months had all the paperwork signed for the order but last minute pulled out.. regret it terribly.

ALFA 4C - had one of these cars provisioned from small allocation from central leasing was silly cheap I think around 240 Inc but it was impractical as hell so some uncommon sense provailed

MASERATI QUATTROPORTE - 365 plus vat on a 6/23 deal via central

AUDI Q8 - had one of the pink leasing cars the deal I had was 449inc vat 10k miles per annum on a 6/23. I drove the car didn't like it so gave up my slot.

I'm now waiting on my next deal best recently was Gateway s Etron for 370 plus vat with 2500 upfront for an 80k it's not bad. The other I've been tempted by are the P400 Vogue's at 560pm Inc. If only the deposit was better....

All in all though the lease market is getting more and more expensive so these deals will certainly be a thing of the past.

I think the difference with these deals is the deposit isn't the initial monthly rental, its £1k + 24 payments, rather than the typical (initial)+23.

I chose a £2k deposit as I'd prefer lower monthlies so I paid £1k over the phone to secure the car and the other £1k will be paid when I pick the car up.

Out of interest does anyone know if you can play with the no cost options like change the blue interior trim or even delete m sport suspension ? I forgot to ask.

Yes you can add or change anything from the leather interior to the dash detail whether it be a no cost option or not !!

I’ve been tempted by a Karoq deal too:

Skoda Karoq - 1.0 TSI SE Technology
6+23
£1295 dep
£143.99 monthly
10k miles p/a

£204.49 per month flatline cost

who's the biggest deal whale hunter? I got a Golf R followed by the S8... both superdeals!
I think I remember the S8 deal on vehiclesavers..

Wasn't it under £400 a month?
not quite, £480 on a 6+23, but still incredible for £82k car
Oh my! That was decent!!

I think I remember that time Audi were giving around 20k dealer contribution and 0% finance. Obviously all came together for a whopping lease deal!!!

I'm sure it was tough handing that back at the end of the term!!
yea it was. Got a 2013 330d X-Drive now... with a map it's not tooooo far behind the Golf i suppose but nowhere near the Audi!

I'm sure there was a better deal than that on the S8 I'm almost positive it was 9 or 6 + 23 @£390
Well I don't remember that, but it was hard enough getting a car for the deal i got... i think i got one of the last. They only did a short run and i had to give them a whacking great holding deposit in addition to the initial payment. I did get it back of course but you can't always get the absolute peak deal.

6 + 23 x 390 for 5K miles pa. Another 10K miles bought mid contract for 5.5p or similar, can't remember now. Excess miles were 10.8p.
For everyone interested, here's old thread: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I replaced S8 with A8 3.0 Black Edition on 6 + 23 x 399, 10k miles pa. Extended for 3rd year at 374pcm. Didn't find deal on anything similar or better for less.
mine was 10k so probably explains part of the difference in price
