Can anyone why went with the 420i deal confirm that DL Bristol quote for 8k standard white is £1000 plus 24 x £269?

Trying to get the price matched but the garage am speaking to just now are insisting that Dick's prices excludes VAT which am disputing.
Including VAT

Here's the quote from the email that Kevin sent me for a completely standard 420i GC:

Hi guys,

Might be slightly off topic, not sure where to post really - my S90 is due back at end of lease in a few weeks (rushing through a quick return to beat service schedule as replacement car nearly ready) and wondering if these tyres would pass the inspection or need replacement? Any thoughts appreciated!

Use a 20p method to get tyre tread.

Those little bars are wear indicators and set at 2mm FYI

Ahh, cheers, so I guess they'd be above the 1.6mm min then!?

@Musafir - I read that the 20p test is flawed as the border is 2.7mm, quite a bit over the minimum, probably why it's pushed by Kwik Fit and the like! smile

Are people not bothered about getting a new plate when it’s only a lease? Maybe I’m just vein not wanting to order a car for delivery in Feb, when for the sake of waiting a week or so, the car won’t look 6 months older than it is. ??
The only reason to care for reg plate is when you own the car. Then depreciation may matter and reg date influences the value. With lease car, it's not your problem.

You're totally right but I agree with OP especially if its only a matter of a few weeks. You pick up your nice new shiny lease mid Feb on a 69 plate and then a few weeks later the 20 plate comes out!

I'm strange, I don't like the idea of a new reg, it is what puts me off.

I'd take an older plate any day. No idea why though!!!

Yep i agree, never been bothered about what reg yr is on the car. i don't look at a car and go ahh thats 6 months old or they should of waited to register it. Only time the reg matters to me is when a hotel ask for it or when you have to type it in when you go shopping. apart from that it really doesn't matter.

I'm really tempted by the 420i deal , just wondering if anyone has drove one what that engine is like? I currently have a cupra 300 so obviously isn't as quick but hoping the 420i isn't too slow as quite a heavy car

This quarter’s deals have been disappointing so far (with the exception of the BMW 420i deals which are just because the model is being replaced soon)..hoping things pick up as need to find another lease soon.

The Cupra is comparable with the Golf R so not worth it in my opinion.
