That's fair, same for me - just my opinion from my own experiences, people can take it or leave it. smile I fear it's not going to be long before we won't even be able to do any spirited driving/riding thanks to the EU wanting to control everything in our lives.

Australia looks more and more appealing.
Just not Victoria.

1mph over the limit and it's a pull from the fuzz, from what I've read!

So OP have you got any quotes & if so do you have a shortlist of viable options?

NO, despite the Aussie rufty-tufty bravado it's a more miserable place to exceed the speed limit than anywhere I've been in Europe (or the US come to that). Bunch of pussies!

I was there in 2010 when the GP was on - Lewis Hamilton was leaving the circuit after qualy (I think) and got egged on to make some 11s! He got nicked for "hooning" and the car was confiscated! So there was a panic on to find a local dealer to provide him with a replacement AMG for race day. laugh

Enormous country, yet you can get nicked for 72 in a 70 - and they double the fines on public holidays for added revenue generation!

It's a miserable place for most PHers. banghead

Apologies for going a bit off topic, but sometimes we don't realise how lucky we are!

My 20yo nephew is enjoying his celica t sport, insurance c£1k.

Decent examples from c£1. 5k, reasonably cheap to run.

See this thread for how good they can look

That doesn't sound great, but at least you still have the choice unless they also follow the EU crap to come (which we are). So where will the best driving countries be in say 10 years time after we are all restricted to speed limits here?

I've done thousands of miles across Australia. It's a wonderful country but the speeding enforcement is such that you just don't speed. The amount of AMG Mercs you see around Sydney just makes me wonder why any of them bothered.
