Yep this is very true. You often hear on PH folk moaning about sales people. Most of us on here know what we want, the salesman is just there to hand over the keys and take the money.t so what it's an hour out of your day to get the right car.
Bought my current car from Evans Halshaw in Banbury last November.
I'm happy with the car, as others have said they do try and sell the add ons, I boght the warranty and the service plan though. Mainly as next service was a major one and would cost almost as much as the 2 year service plan.
Admin side was terrible.
They did give me a good part exchange on a PCP Golf, however in the days after me doing the deal they made their branch finance managers redundant and the payment wasn't made, cost to end agreement changing. The delays also triggered another monthly PCP payment.
Eventually all was resolved but it was as much down to VW Finance being good about it than anything else.
They'd also told me the car was due an MOT in March so they wouldn't MOT it, but records show they did MOT the car in October.
I wouldn't be put off buying from the again based on this but I wouldn't rely on them to do anything.
