I would love one of these - I think I've only ever seen a single one out on the road.
A classmate's dad had one in the mid-70s. Epic machine. Another classmate was always trying to convince us that his dad's 528i was comparable. How we laughed...until a new bug turned up in a brand new Aston Martin Lagonda!

My attention has fallen on the Daimler Super 8, based on the x350 xjr with le long wheelbase. Supposedly a limited run under 900 pieces even though they sold them in the US as a Jaguar Vanden Plas. They look the part (in the classic style without the silly sporty front bumper that some later model years have).
The price range is huge on these, but I am wondering if it does not have a better chance of holding value.
Opinions?

Interesting topic.

I'm sure we all have our biases, but from what you've said I think you should go for a British car. If your customers are primarily foreign, they will appreciate it a bit more. Unless you need to keep high green credentials then a Tesla would be best.

Turning up in a German saloon is a missed opportunity in my eyes.

Customers visiting my company are taken to a very traditional local pub (low ceilings with beams you can hit your head on, etc) and it really is a good novelty for them that raises spirits. It's the same as picking them up in a Jag/Range Rover.

Picking them up in a Lexus is akin to taking them to a sushi bar, or a Mercedes is a local festival bratwurst van.

The Bentley above is a wonderful choice, but you are pushing into too high cost appearance, even if it is cheaper than a 5 year old Jag.

Plus 1 for Jaguar XJ

I would find it odd if I got picked up in a car not relating to the country I was visiting
