So I'm thinking of changing my daily.

Currently a Rav4 which has served me very well for the last 4 years but circumstances have changed. Now 8 miles to/from work, not 30. Don't have to carry nearly so much work stuff but still have to visit some remote sites so awd and a bit of ground clearance is always handy.

Fancy something with a bit of poke, so was thinking of going for the GLA 45. Just after some advice on the car, things to look for, etc. One of my brothers mates has an A45 which is nice, but i'd have to say the ride isn't the best.

Any alternatives, budget is around £30k.

A touch over budget but liking this one;

Good spec and discrete looks. Don't want the spoilers.

I bought a GLA45 after driving it back to back with the A45, it’s a far better real world performance car IMO as the ride is so much better and composed. It’s only 10mm higher the a45 but it makes a lot of difference on bad roads. It’s a fare bit bigger inside as well, I find it has a bit more space in the front than even an E class.

Mines quite rare thou as a FL car I spec’d all the performance upgrades incl the back box, performance pack, mag suspension and ultra rare on a GLA45 the limited slip diff

It’s a real twin personality car, a decent cruiser in normal mode and a total nut job in race mode.

Some of the A45 gearboxes has a clunking problem, mines had the upgraded box fitted which cures the issue.

Gonna miss it

I thought so, remove the rear badges and it'll just glide below the radar. Perfect for everyday/work duties.

Seems like a reputable dealer too + 8 months merc warranty left.

Make sure it has race mode, I wouldn’t touch one with out it (or the sport box or mag ride), I thought 20” rims where standard,I must have specs them lol
