Is this a good deal on a new A4 black edition?

£328 pcm over 24 months

initial rental of 1 month

10,000 miles per annum

Total cost comes to £7,872 or £8232 if you include the processing fee.

only downside i saw was the enormous processing fee of £360.

Yes it's very good!

Under 21% with the fee.
Under the magic 20% with no fee.

Try getting a dealer to match with no fee....?

It was good deal, but not crazy.
It was like 16% for a car with horrendous depreciation, I’d say it was better than good.
Don’t forget road tax and RRP’s have changed since the end of line A8 deals from 2016/17

My current A8 is already in luxury tax bracket. It's one of the last few registered on 67 plate.

Try willow leasing, I've been very impressed with them.

I've leased the following:
XC90 B5 R-Design
Tinted Windows
1+35
8kpa
£495 no fees
When was this if I may ask? Willow are now showing this at £610 per month

It's just about the fastest thing on the road, looks like a spaceship, and I expect it'll easily lose more than £24k in two years if you bought one for cash.

So it seems ok, if you're in the market?

Anyone got or had a lease funded by ALD automotive?
If so did they give you an option to buy at the end of it and if so did you find it reasonable (FWIW).
Yes I've had an ALD lease and no they didn't give an option to buy but neither did I ask. I've looked after a few business leases and none have given the option but several will quote if you ask.

But then 17% if you claim half the VAT and take a business lease as there's no BIK. Therefore it's a stonking deal bounce

General consensus seems to be to try again next month, then the next until you get a better price. Appears the renewal price is like a lottery.
I tried a lot with my Octavia - always went up. To be fair the amortized was 170 which was a steal for the mid-spec with 1.5 tsi hehe
I've just tried with my VRS245. One of the 2400 up front 128.99 per month ones. I suspect it'll come back at a slightly higher price biggrin

Just had a service and gonna need two fronts before it goes back so wouldn't mind another 6 months from it. They're emailing me a quote apparently

That looks pretty good to me. Suspect it will be delivery before end March. £400+ per month if you search for the car anywhere else.

None for some time, my last Volvos had Ford sourced engines essentially, they were OK.

Have been looking at Honest John real mpg database.

T4 auto has average of 32.1 ranging from 24 to 39
T3 doesn't say auto has average 37.2 ranging from 32 to 44.

Miles I would do doesn't make a big deal tbh, currently getting just over 30 in a big diesel, but mostly short runs, low gear, winding and off road.

From what I can see from HJ figures the Pug 3008 has better consumption maybe +3mpg over Volvo. Trouble is the question is a bit like length of a piece of string, it all depends.
I really dislike how these leasing companies constantly trying to shift the goalposts, now they telll me cos the car will be registered after April, it will be liable for the VED costs, which increases cost of car by nearly £500.
Clearly they should advertise at the correct price, its misleading selling.

Nothing to do with leasing companies. They offer rates given to them by big dealer networks, which in turn is underwritten by finance companies. They earn a fee. That’s it.

Half right, most brokers have direct funders and many do not get involved with manufacturers funders hence some deals that dealers can’t match.

In regards the VED increase, it had been in small print of contracts for years that increases are the customers responsibility, it’s just this year everyone is so late with their actual emissions figures and the changes, JLR still don’t know and more or less say wait until the day of registration.
