My mam is a community nurse and has had NHS lease cars since 2009, currently on her fourth which is a new shape Polo after a Mini, a DS3 then an A1. It is a fantastic scheme withstand no upfront and just comes off the salary, it always works out much cheaper than any retail offer. The scheme she is on though is only available to staff do business miles so there must be different ones depending on role.
I’ve never found an NHS deal that I couldn’t beat with a retail offer. The “net” prices are misleading and include a “saving” on pension. That’s your money that your not putting away for the future. It’s a company car scheme like any other. I don’t think it’s competitive.
Electric cars such as the golf will be cheap to all company car drivers from April due to zero BIK.

Can you beat £270 month for an ioniq, over two years, 10k miles a year, fully maintained? Oh and business insurance included tooIt’s a company car scheme like any other. I don’t think it’s competitive.

I've been looking for a Golf R DSG for a while and I placed an order today through www.pinkcarleasing.co.uk at £395 per month, 1+47 with metalic paint for March 2020 registration and delivery.
Nowhere near the deals that were available on Golf R some years ago. However it was the best deal I could find for that mileage allowance and payment profile.

199 a month 6 x23 is the best I can see. 8k miles but excess is very cheap. Business insurance obviously depends on the individual. Won't be far away.

Going forward all company car to private comparisons are going to be more competitive, due to the zero BIK on electric cars. This wasn’t the case in the past necessarily, with spiralling BIK. 199 a month 6 x23 is the best I can see. 8k miles but excess is very cheap. Business insurance obviously depends on the individual. My badly made point was that the NHS scheme, in particular, reduces the amount of pension you will earn in retirement, yet uses the reduced contribution as a “saving” each month to work out the monthly cost to you, which I believe is misleading.
The staff using these cars for work can then also only claim a reduced amount for business mileage each month. Again this should be factored into the “net” and isn’t (in my limited experience) by some staff.

Who is the quote with, what price? Pull the trigger!
My local dealer quoted me £1800 deposit and 23 monthly payments of £203.86, no admin fee for 8000 annual mileage. This is for a standard BMW 420i M Sport Gran Coupe Auto in Alpine White. My quote is valid until 22nd December.I’ve just FTK on the following:
Skoda Karoq 1.5tsi Dsg Edition
£254 pm
£1524 initial payment (6month)
24 month contract
8k miles per year
Excess miles 7.72p
I’d initially ordered a sportline but it was snapped up by the time paperwork was sorted, so was offered this or same payments (car p11d is £28990)
Have I got a good deal?

People often use the 20% of total cost as a guide of a good deal. Anything below is a ‘fist the kumquat, immediately’ and anything up to 25% is seen as decent. Over 25% is generally seen as poor. I tend to just think of it as anything less than 1% of the total cost per month is a good deal, which would be 24% on a 2 year deal, so a 30k car at less than £300pm would be a good deal (in my eyes).Skoda Karoq 1.5tsi Dsg Edition

Yours is coming out at £306.91 for 8k not 10k, so it is a little expensive. £290 per month or below for 10k is what you should be aiming for, in my opinion.

I’m now doubting myself! Only signed paperwork yesterday so I guess I’m still in the cooling off period (any I’ve not paid any ££)Yours is coming out at £306.91 for 8k not 10k, so it is a little expensive. £290 per month or below for 10k is what you should be aiming for, in my opinion.

Who was this with please? I’d be ok with a 3 year deal, and would only need half the mileage per year. Would love to see what 8k miles works out at!1+35

Well insurance is going to be at least £20-£30 a month more, the car you link is a hybrid, not the EV, looking at the same spec EV car on that website is at £299 month plus 1.7 k cash upfront, so nowhere even close to the nhs deal, even accounting for the no BIK differences. My badly made point was that the NHS scheme, in particular, reduces the amount of pension you will earn in retirement, yet uses the reduced contribution as a “saving” each month to work out the monthly cost to you, which I believe is misleading.

If I was going to be doing a load of business miles I wouldn't be choosing the EV anyway, however "agenda for change" rules are 56p per mile for the first 3500 you claim, then 20p per mile after that, so with free charging at work it makes sense. The cars they offer are personal lease via salary sacrifice, they don't do business lease deals anymore, unfortunately.
This is coming up as £0 a month for me :') Reckon they will honour it?

Don't see why not, it's not uncommon to get metallic paint included in a deal. The rest of the deal doesn't sound too great though, works out at £14500 for 16000 miles over 2 years.https://zen.auto/Configure?id=2062950&calculat...

No I mean the whole deal is coming up as £0 a month with just a £3K initial payment and then no monthly payments :')Metaliban said:
