I've submitted an order for the 840i (in orange!), now waiting on the finance.

I have done the application for the 8GC and signed the order form. Has any one had any news to say if their finance has been accepted yet?
No only a email to say my finance docs have been submitted to the finance company and they will be in touch...

After all this i'll be gutted if the deal doesn't happen now...

Too late I'm afraid; no further orders are being accepted.

Prob saved myself!!

Having a vantage and then trying to justify to my partner that an 840 is indeed the sensible family car option might have been tricky!!

I put the application in last night for the 8GC and was told there have been around 10-12 applications before the financier pulled it. The chap was "80% sure" that the orders already in will be honoured.

I personally will be surprised if anything comes of this deal.

Lets hope LEX aren't the funders. I'm sure there are a few people here that remember their number crunching on the A6 Avant BE a few years ago...

I was given a quote, asked for a further quote on 18k miles and never heard back from them. Guess I won't be getting one...

Started a seperate thread for the 840i so we dont annoy everyone talking about paint choices etc! Be great if anyone who secured the deal can join in;

National Vehicle Solutions

Seems a very reasonable price to me. I had one of these at one point and thought it was a great car.

Golf R Estate

£2400 initial
£269 a month
24 month lease

If I was not in a lease at the moment, I would jump on this.

Good luck! Hopefully this time around BMW won't change its mind and it will be honoured.

Wasn't there (not a similar car but hey) another spectacular cock up on the passat all road years ago for stupid money that was honoured?

Hope this is similar who went right in on the 840!

That’s much better than the dealer quote I just received. Having had 2 R’s from VW previously I was approached re latest offers:

3407.54
Plus 23 * 284.95
So that’s just under £10k on a p11d of 37565 ie just over 26%.
10k pa, estate, I think it includes metallic.
Too rich for me.
