Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 8)
Discussion
Sorry i have 2 leasing related questions and this seems th best place to get them answered without a new thread
1) Does anyone know who the nominee needs to be on a v317 for a car funded via Leasys
2) Can a VW lease car be serviced anywhere that is VW approved or does it have to be a main dealer

1- The nominee is the Registered Keeper. VW are the Owner. The person responsible for the car (you?) is the nominee. The Grantee is the owner of the plate. The different terminology is to cater for a situation where say, you/I own a plate and want to assign it to another registered keepers car, like a family member, friend etc or I assume if sold.1) Does anyone know who the nominee needs to be on a v317 for a car funded via Leasys

2- as already mentioned. All VWFS contracts stipulate Main Dealer servicing-some say they don't bother as get away with it. Take your chances. But it is worth noting, I've found servicing to be buttons on run of the mill cars. I can't imagine there being material savings, particularly the first service.

VW lease car must be serviced at the main dealer, it is in the contract
I've currently got a Tiguan sourced directly from VW and leased from VWFS. This didn't require servicing at VW. I even called VWFS to check and have it verbally agreed. I ended up having a manufacturers service at Kwik Fit and saved a small fortune on the original quote from VW.Burwood said:

Thanks, The Nominee question was related to my new Car which is an Evoque funded by Leasys. My assumption was that Leasys would be the registered keeper.2- as already mentioned. Long time lurker here, just wanted to pass on my thanks to the forum regulars and specifically to those who passed on details of the R.S. Megane deal. The kumquat has just been fisted.
FYI I dealt with Georgia at leasehub ( who was great), and for 5k miles the price is cheaper than website - £225 on 3+23, or £233 with service and tyre plan which I went for. Hopefully that helps someone.

So I’ve just had my next lease confirmed, ordered through blue chilli leasing.
I’ve got the paperwork through and the car is coming from lex auto lease.
Thought I would check them out and the reviews online are terrible!! (86% gave worst score on trust pilot)
Is this a case of only complainers write reviews or are they to be avoided?
For anyone interested I’ve gone for a Ford Kuga St Line on 3+23 @ £217. 8k miles

What are the cheapest tyres I can replace my front two VWFS Scirocco tyres with before it gets picked up next week?
BCA recommended Michelin, Dunlop, Goodyear, Continental.
How strict is this? Can I get an unknown brand?
I have tried to get part worn but cannot find a pair anywhere
Ebay.BCA recommended Michelin, Dunlop, Goodyear, Continental.
