Has anyone heard of Principal Insurance? Any good? They are £150 cheaper than the next cheapest - Admiral. I need to insure my 420i for tomorrow’s collection.

They look like a broker to me and the actual insurers seem to be a mix of industry leaders and people I've never heard of.Ask who the policy is with, if it's the Liverpool based one with the green logo for example then you will be fine

This is my first time ordering a lease car on a factory order from a broker.
The car is due in March. Is the following normal:
'Next step is waiting for the finance documents which come across from the dealer. These are produced once they have the chassis number and vehicle registration so this will be nearer to the delivery, as soon as I receive these I will forward these onto you.'
I am used to seeing all the paperwork up front.
Yes, it's standard. You will get docs when car is there and ready to be processed and sent to you or ready for collection. The car is due in March. Is the following normal:

Thanks, I can start looking forward to my shiny new car now ☺️

new to the forum - thanks to this thread I ordered a cupra 290 mag grey via zenauto on Monday. However after coming across a couple of forums with customers experiencing delays of up to 6 months I am slightly conerned as my current lease car is due back 25th Feb. A lead time of 12 weeks was providing which is perfect but by the sounds of it I highly doubt that is accurate.
I was quoted 14 weeks and ordered this week (completed process Tuesday). I need a vehicle by the end of March so have some flexibility on delivery being delayed by a few weeks, but won't entertain anything longer than that. beowulf8860 said:
Was indeed RGW, as the numbers fell for me it was actually about 3 quid a month more with them for the metallic, but then I'd be forfeiting my admin fee to cancel at that point, so I went ahead.
VehicleSavers said they definitely adhere to 14 days before they'll deliver, as did Selectcarleasing who I spoke to, and said it was a condition of the lender. But RGW said they are happy to deliver ASAP. I have a feeling it's because they have a large cancellation fee which goes on top of the admin fee, should I decide to back out once the car is ordered, 1500 + VAT. So they love it if you take delivery then cancel.
I'm still not clear on the situation with where liability stands if you do decide to quit in the 14 days but the car is already delivered. Lux autoleasing, the lenders, said that the 14 days cooling is on the finance, not the car, so if I cancel within 14 days then anything to do with the car is between me and the dealer to sort out, and the finance is considered cancelled. She wouldn't say any more.
RGW originally said car must be delivered before end of Nov, but VehicleSavers said different, and that that's for Registration. When I challenged RGW on that he said well delivery will be imminently after registration, maybe first week December.
Sounds like you'll get yours before me! I'm hoping for within the 4 weeks I've been quoted, but will give them a call next week to see where we are. What colour did you get in the end? And was it with the winter pack?VehicleSavers said they definitely adhere to 14 days before they'll deliver, as did Selectcarleasing who I spoke to, and said it was a condition of the lender. Sorry to sound silly to all the lease experts but what happens if it’s delayed longer than quoted? Can you just cancel it and lose nothing? Like when is your first payment is it once you receive the vehicle?
Broker fee is taken on order (if applicable) and first monthly payment is usually within 2 weeks of the car being delivered. No rental payments should be taken before the car has been delivered.B16A2 said:
Hi guys, long term lurker here. I’m about to take out my first lease on an A6 Avant through a broker and the Funder is ALD, done a quick google and the reviews doesn’t seem reassuring.
For anyone who dealt with them any feedbacks would great, especially when it’s time to hand back.
I've used them, 2yr lease on an Optima, no complaints whatsoever, though there wasnt any damage to argue over at the end or anything else that may have caused trouble. For anyone who dealt with them any feedbacks would great, especially when it’s time to hand back.

What’s excellent is that you email Santander overnight and get an auto response saying please don’t ring if you have e mailed about the s60 as we will contact you and then people mention they are ringing at 1pm ordering the last ones.
Still no response to the e mail enquiry.
Farce.
He may have emailed yesterday before you, before then calling at 1pm to chase it up. Who knows...Still no response to the e mail enquiry.
Farce.

Hi guys, long time lurker here. I remember there was some talk about gap insurance. Can someone please tell me what company was it.
It’s a bit of a rip off. I wouldn’t bother. Buy online, usually a lot cheaper than from a dealer.

For example zenauto say it could be upto 10% of the cars rrp.

Who said 12 weeks?I was told 14 weeks minimum and pretty sure on the website it said the same aswell.
Going by the cupra forum can't see how they can get one over in 12 weeks.
