Hi guys, long time lurker here. I remember there was some talk about gap insurance. Can someone please tell me what company was it.
It’s a bit of a rip off. I wouldn’t bother.
Talking from experience, I would get it regardless of cost. ALA insurance is a good one and there's a 25% discount code going round (MSE25 I think).

A family member had a Jaguar XE that got written off 2 months after it being delivered. He'd put down a £2.5k deposit which the finance company have agreed to refund, but I'll believe it when I see. He was also lucky in the respect that the valuation the third party offered was £100 more than what the finance company valued the car at.

He was very stressed for the 3 weeks whilst there was miscommunication between the insurers and finance company.

Hopefully he get his refund. I wouldn't want to be in that situation, would rather pay for gap to avoid the stress. Thanks for the advice.

A quick question if anyone can help please - I have a 24mth 20000mile total contract with Vwfs. If I was to return car early by 3mths with exactly 20000miles already would there be any charge for excess mileage (pro rata)???
Thanks
Hi mate, my dad was in the same position recently. He called vwfs up to challenge and they dropped the fees without much of a fight. Has to be worth a phone call. Good luck! thumbup

Cupra ordered and processing fee paid. Test drove one on Wednesday and the 30-70(ish) felt really strong, stronger than what I remember in my Golf R. I had told myself that I’m not bothered about performance cars, but here I am, already looking on the Cupra forum and reading about the ‘res deletion pipe’ to get the pops and bangs back! Will I ever grow up?!?

Should you be modifying a leased car?! "LivingLifeFast" and his M4, and all that?

Personally think it's a grey area in regards to res deletes as it is reversible, as long as you notify your insurance company there should be no issues. LLF went all out and did hybrid turbos and stage 2+.

This was the main reason I opted not to go for one of the Cupra's, as I'd be tempted to do an exhaust upgrade due to the opf.

This looks like a great deal, not for me too big but might suit someone else:

BMW 530D M Sport Auto
3 + 23
Initial - £1,473.66
Monthly - £371.22
Total - £10011.72
P11D - Around 50K
Works out around the 20%!!

Am looking for more a 1/2 series if anyone knows of anything?

Unless you notify the owner of the car (the funder) and they are ok with it, I don't think there's any grey area.

I'm sure none of us would be best pleased if someone borrowed our car and chipped it. I certainly wouldn't feel it was ok because it was reversible.

You have to remember some poor sod is going to end up buying this car after you and they will be oblivious it has been chipped to perform out of spec. Whats the difference between doing this and clocking it back?

Just seen this for an M240i - no idea how good it is value-wise though:

Sounds like you'll get yours before me! I'm hoping for within the 4 weeks I've been quoted, but will give them a call next week to see where we are. What colour did you get in the end? And was it with the winter pack?
I went for the mussel blue with charcoal interior. The winter pack one was the osmium with charcoal I think, which would have been my favourite combo but wasn't willing to pay more for it, the winter pack doesn't seem worth it to me.
