Just seen this for an M240i - no idea how good it is value-wise though:

https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/alpha-cont...
It's not bad, slightly better than the UKCentral one - https://centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/lease-bmw-2-...

That's around 23% so pretty good.

Is the Ocean deal different? What is the Ocean deal?
£1000 deposit then 23 x £249, 8p excess mileage. This was for the auto, not sure about manual.

Oxford is cheaper still for the manual at 1 + 23 £279, 8p mileage excess: https://www.oxfordbmw.co.uk/cars/4-series/4-series... I think the auto was £20 more per month.

24 x 299 for the auto so works out about £300 cheaper over the term.
I got the Ocean deal but went back for another at Ocean and no luck so was going to with oxford on this deal. On Monday they were taking orders, not sure about now though you would have to call.

Thank you again to this forum, 3rd lease arrived yesterday really happy with our XC90. Used a dealer rather than a broker and contact was very helpful and honest about everything.

Thanks again

Should you be modifying a leased car?! "LivingLifeFast" and his M4, and all that?
I won’t end up doing it, it’s more the point that I have managed to avoid looking at forums and mods etc for yearly 2 years but the bug is still there!

Cupra ordered and processing fee paid. Test drove one on Wednesday and the 30-70(ish) felt really strong, stronger than what I remember in my Golf R. I had told myself that I’m not bothered about performance cars, but here I am, already looking on the Cupra forum and reading about the ‘res deletion pipe’ to get the pops and bangs back! Will I ever grow up?!?
And disconnect that ridiculous windscreen resonator/noise generator thing while you're at.
Love mine, although it's going back in 4 months frown

Unless you notify the owner of the car (the funder) and they are ok with it, I don't think there's any grey area.

I'm sure none of us would be best pleased if someone borrowed our car and chipped it. I certainly wouldn't feel it was ok because it was reversible.

You have to remember some poor sod is going to end up buying this car after you and they will be oblivious it has been chipped to perform out of spec. Whats the difference between doing this and clocking it back?
Agree we don’t own these cars so not our cars to modify and I personally wouldn’t, although if mods are reversible and insurance is informed it’s not going to make any difference cost wise to the finance company at auction time? Every second hand car buyer is oblivious to how it has been treated by a previous owner which is another benefit of leasing new.

We all know to some extent ECU parameters are set for product positioning and hitting emissions targets. But it's based on these that failure rates/etc are calculated. If you fiddle with them, you can and probably will affect the failure rate of components that are exposed to higher levels of mechanical stress.

Yes, no one can be sure how a car has been treated by the previous owner. But most would presume it will have remained within the manufacturer programmed limits and therefore largely expected to follow normal reliability curves.

Therefore this is no different than clocking a car back. Is it acceptable to clock the car if you're once removed from the person that ends up paying for the consequences? If anything it makes it worse IMO, as the end user will likely fork out a lot more should the engine/turbo/etc go pop, than the likes of VWFS who wont be paying retail hourly/parts rates.

IMO anyone doing this deserves the massive bill they'll get should they get caught.

9+23 at £377 a month. Was on 8000mikes per year. Just needed another 7 seater as our Vw Sharan went back today and was a cracking deal at £190 a month, extending figures nearly £400 and a new lease was over £400, so went for the XC90 or a GLE, Volvo came up as a better deal.

Had been offered yesterday an inscription xc90 on the following deal If interested.
Volvo XC90 2.0 B5 D 235 Inscription Auto AWD
Pine Grey
+ Winter Pack
+ Dark tinted rear windows
24 Months
9 + 23 Profile
8,000 Miles per annum
Diver Maintained
£455.26 Including VAT
Initial rental - £4,097.34

I was originally offered an inscription at £375 a month on a 9+23 but then suddenly they couldn’t confirm a car and so came back with the above offer.

100%, on my 2nd Cupra after my hatch was stolen and forgot how awful the Soundaktor was. Easiest way is to turn it off with OBD11.

Sod's law there is a cracking deal on the Cupra ST 4drive after I purchased one from a main dealer!

Zenauto have them for £306 (1+35 8k) cheapest I have seen by a mile

Do you know if it leaves any mark in the ECU using OBD11. As OBD interface normally allows to delete fault codes etc
