Morning all. So my Golf GTi is due to go back in the next 3 months (got an informal extension on it) and I'm pretty sure it's going to need some new tyres. Does anyone know what the score is regarding this, as in would VWFS expect me to put a like for like replacement on, or can I get away with putting on anything that's new? Thanks
I was in the same position. VWFS said either the same tyre or any equivalent premium brand, meaning I couldn't fit a pair of £40 Di-Yung Skidmaster 3000s. I just replaced like for like.

Conversely, I recently sent my Golf R Estate back with a cheap Asian brand (that I can't remember the name of) on all 4 corners, no comeback from VWFS at all.

Anything from the 6 leading brands, same rating(speed and wight), size. And as above you may get away with it

Vinwiki on ‘US Lease Hacking’. Interesting that they use 1% of MSRP monthly as a value guide.

https://youtu.be/4k9XfEjbi1k
was thinking this the other day (caveat, havent watched video as a work....)

We FTK on a E350 cab, PP pack with a list of £54k, paying £467pm (1x23) =£11208 . So that's :
- 20.7% over term against RRP
- .86% as a monthly %age of RRP.

So 20% is much tighter - 1% would be £540pm, or 24%

Anyone worked out how www.leasing.com arrives at its "value" calculation?
Where was the Merc deal from mate?

About to FTK on this "Audi A7 55 TFSI Quattro S Line 5dr S Tronic [C+S]". £4k down and £415 pcm. 1+23 @10kpa. I work it out at 22%; rrp £61k. Not startling but good enough for me.

Thoughts?

Stock deal gone and delivered back in September I am afraid, its approx. double now @ £900pm!!!!! yikes

edit: just noticed on leasing.com there are stock E350 premium convertibles for 3+23 @£434 =£11534 so approx. 22.5% - top draw car, ours has black pack, dark grey mettalic and looks the nuts

Slightly unusual deal on Mercedes s class. Freedom contracts have 40 used cars on 19 plates available at reduced rates. Some won’t want a used car but for those who aren’t fussed it’s a lot of car for the money.

£3.5k deposit
£388 a month
10000 miles p/a
24 month contract

Thats a great deal

That's a great deal for a silky smooth engine with the C+S pack.

I was one of the lucky ones that got the A7 45 TDI deal a few months ago, but missed out on the C+S pack.

So there’s been a hold up on my lease from Nationwide vehicle contracts.

I done everything but physically sign the papers as I’m waiting for them and I haven’t heard from the lady so I emailed this morning and she says the price on the deal changed between me getting approved for finance and ordering the car so she’s trying to make sure I’m fully locked into that deal with the finance company before she can send papers.

The deal went from 367pm 3+23 to 490pm (!!!) 3+23 same terms as part of a ‘black friday offer’

Anybody here been in that situation, will the finance company honour the deal I got a credit check for, I need a car before Christmas and I might need to start looking for something ASAP just in case they don’t honour the original price quoted.

The price jump is very drastic which looks like it could have been a mistake, yet the price was on there for a while. The lady hasn’t said anything about a mistake but how can it jump nearly £150 a month for a stock car.

Thanks in advance

Momentum poverty spec yes £589 but this is an inscription. They couldn’t get close
Those interested in the XC90 there’s still some very good value T8 (hybrids) knocking about in stock. Eg the following from Lease Loco...
Well surprise surprise they didn’t call me but the car has gone up £190 a month overnight to £714 so it was obviously an error or click bait.

One of the guys I work with enquired on the deal this morning. Defo legit but they said they were pulling it to new enquiries as they were 'inundated'. He called them though so maybe worth calling them too. Looks like it's the old, not fast, you're last with this one.

Im still debating it - mainly because I have had two Audis and this would be a third, the mrs has an A6 so its almost the same car again and those new dashboards whilst looking great are very prone to rattles. I am swaying to an 8 series gran coupe albeit more expensive.

Currently in an S5.

Fleetprices. Found it through Leaseloco (at a [very] slightly lower price) but when enquired there was no stock leftfrown spoke to them and they found this.

VWFS agreed to extend for 3 months on the same £249 repayment for the Cupra I was due to hand back in December. Second service light is on and 2 front tyres are close and struggling to find another deal. Did think the payment would’ve reduced slightly though..

When you say they 'agreed to extend', did you request a quote to extend or just call them up and negotiate? I ask because I, like many others, seem to be getting expensive quotes to extend when calling them or using the online form, but wondering whether I need to change my tactics!

If you extend for 3 months the price will not change as that is an informal extension which carrys on your current contract.

The 6/12 months are formal extensions and this is where the price can go up or down.

Ah yes, whoops, for someone reason I read it as extending for 12 months. Was hoping for some leverage against the 50% price increases!
