Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 8)

This thread is becoming a little HUKDie. Lots of might / could / if etc. If the feeling towards a particular model on here is representative of demand in general, deals are unlikely. I’m not having a go, just genuinely interested in the thought process. Surely it’s a risk not to secure a lease in the hope that something better comes along? I thought one of the golden rules was if you wait for a deal it won’t happen?
i think you just contradicted yourself.if you were referring to me, i was merely stating that maybe a deal will come along. I have protected myself by having a used car as an interim between decent deals, so you don't need to worry about me. I am waiting for a really good deal as I have had a few times in the past, of which there have been no comparables for a while. I am not bothered about changing before then. So no I won't be grabbing a honda CRV because i have something within me that values a new st car as better than an older decent car, like so many others seem to.

Fab mate - got my order ID and checked with Audi (create an account) car has been assigned to my name :-)))
Contract Cars (Simon) - seamless transaction so far ! Now the waiting game.....hopefully all being well beginning of Sept.
Nice - I bet you can't wait.Contract Cars (Simon) - seamless transaction so far ! Now the waiting game.....hopefully all being well beginning of Sept.
I have requested the order number from RGW this morning for the order I placed yesterday, the lady said she would request it and send it over to me, so fingers crossed that happens quickly.
Looking forward to tracking the car as it progresses - also nice on the early September, I have been told to expect end of September, early October - so if it comes before then that would be good.
Thank you
Just incase anyone is interested, I've just placed an order for a Volvo XC40 with Santander & I don't have a Santander bank account. I contemplated opening one in order to be able to avail of their offers & then thought I'd just chance my arm and give it a go without opening the account first to see if the order was processed. If not, I could always open one then. Thankfully, I was able to proceed with the order without having opened the account. The only mention of a Santander account throughout my ordering process was when I was providing my bank details to set up the DD. The girl I dealt with was very helpful and when she asked for my bank details she just simply said "this does not have to be your Santander account". Good job, cos I don't have one. Lol.
That aside, does anyone know if Volvo orders can be tracked in the same way in which I see people can track their Audi orders? If so, what information would I need to do so and from whom should I request such details?

Contract through Carleasingmadesimple with Lex Autolease.

Nice and simple.

Have also been advised that original driving licence will need to be posted with finance docs when the time comes, anybody else had to do this before?? It’s a new one on me having lease a few times before.
It’s been a requirement of VWFS for a few years now. Standard procedure.Sineda said:
I was tempted to jump on the A5 deal, but after driving circa 260 horses for the last 2 years, I don't think I'll be able to live with 150 / 165 horses - I'll need to wait for something a bit faster.
Currently thinking about the Leon Cupra deal, 3x23, 8k @ 260 inc VAT via Leasing Options (the price I got when I phoned them up a few days ago). Apparently Leasing Options have pre-ordered their cars a while ago so they'll be ready by the end of August if I place my order now.
I've driven a Cupra before and they're good looking, very fast and are well specced in comparison to a factory Golf GTI. The only downside of buying the new Cupra is that the exhaust note has been suppressed due to a filter and/or EU regulations; in fact, most new cars sound extremely dull in comparison to their predecessors a few years ago - sad.
I'll continue my journey.
P.S. dealer collected my GTI Performance the other day and now I'm using my feet - good thing I'm WFH since February.
That's the only gripe I have with my 20 plate Leon Cupra ST, the lack of raspiness from the exhaust, but apart from that I'm really enjoying it. I would say that if that is the case, less deals taken will drive down prices going in to Q3. Golden rule is true, however these are very different times. Flex1 said:
Hi guys can’t make my mind up between A5 coupe or sports back on this offer if it was purely on looks which one would you choose
Thank you
I’ve had both and much preferred the coupe. I only swapped it for the sportsback as I was sick of the kids moaning about climbing in to the back. If you’re not likely to have many passengers I’d get the coupe.Thank you

I was ready to FTQ on a Santander XC40 yesterday but jumped on the A5 deal instead. I phoned my local Volvo dealer to discuss lead times and they said they would track the order so I'd give them a call and see if they can help you with updates.

That's good to know. I wonder can you commit to a 3 year service plan before you receive the vehicle to lock in that price now or do you have to wait until you are in possession of the vehicle. Would love to get one of those 3 year service plans that you have mentioned because the individual services seem very expensive. Personally I prefer the look of the Sportback - I could have choose either, and I have gone for that. Although looks were not my primary reason, I prefer the convenience also of the Sportback too, the extra doors also make life easier for me too.Thank you
But only you know which you prefer the looks of, its personal preference.
