I ordered one yesterday - the 3 month payment holiday for these was on a batch of 500 and there are only a few left. Well specced as a black edition, we took the 286bhp diesel instead of the petrol in standard white paint as my wife liked it in white. Should look good next to the 840 GC lease!
Mine turns up on Monday biggrin

At that price, plenty I'm sure. What does £370 a month and £1200 down buy you on a PCP deal? There will be plenty spending that who haven't found leasing yet.
Think your missing my point, how much does an average NHS worker get paid? Nearly £400 a month is still alot of money, regardless of lease/pcp etc
Everyones situation is different, but well within the possibilities of someone (specialist nurses, physios, lab staff, IT, estates staff etc. ) on the top of a band 6 or 7.

Keep seeing these NHS specials, I wonder how many of the proper front line nurses can still afford £370 a month after the deposit.
I'm sure the top doctors and surgeons can, but i also think they could afford the non NHS price to so im not sure who is benefiting here.

Of course if the car parks are full if 50k belonging to the porters and nurses then ill of course re tract my comment.
That feels like quite a naive comment. The value of £370 is different to us all. Our monthly wages also don't necessarily correlate to our wealth.

I have a friend with a 1 year old GTR that works at Tesco. Big inheritance means he doesn't need to work anywhere else.

I have another very well off friend that works in a grocery store. His Mrs is a lawyer in London.

I'm sure there are many NHS staff with mortgages paid off, partners earning good wages, still living at home so more disposable income, prioritise a new car with all the safety features over an extra holiday etc.

One of my daughters is band 7 - she has a 2014 car and in her pretty big team her colleagues think her car is new. They mostly drive bangers. The younger staff are have hefty student loan and pension payments.

The 840 gran coupe lease deal from January did follow through for around 40 people, including myself - £3,165 down and £351.75 a month on a 9+23.
Lovely car. My brother also sealed the deal on one and I was very impressed after a drive. It's a bit more relaxed than the S5's we've both had previously.

I'm confident my comment is far from naive, yes there will be a handful of NHS who can afford this if they have a lawyer partner, or inheritance. But again your missing the point of the offer!!!! It's to offer a cheaper deal for NHS, and as you can see from another post a 2014 car for many would be a luxury. So £400 a month would still not benefit the average NHS worker. If the have a wealthy partner or inheritance I'm sure they could also afford the non NHS price.

Anyway let's move on.....

The same might be said of the stereotypical PH powerfully built company directors haggling over £10 or £20 a month on a lease car or bartering down a broker fee...they could afford it, but just choose to seek out a good deal.

Anyway, in an organisation of over 1.4 million staff with a wide variety of skills and specialisms, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of staff with the necessary funds to pay for a £370 monthly car payment

Mean average earnings in the NHS is £33,626. In NHS Support Organisations and Central Bodies in England it is £41,057.

Hi Simon. Do you know of anyone whom still has any of those 500 batches left on the Touareg? I phoned Crewe and they don’t have any left on the 3 month free offer.
Emailed you mate
Could you PM me details too? Many thanks
Dont think you are set up to receive PM's mate

I'm pretty sure the leasing co don't really care if a nurse can't afford an Audi A7. They have published the headline, using a good deal from the maker to virtue signal some NHS support. Job done.

Personally I think 4k a year is better spent elsewhere than on a car. I know people on much lower wages who have much more expensive cars than me. We just have different priorities.

Have to agree. For me I've found that once you start leasing its hard to get out of it because of the high upfront cost of buying a car.

Just seen this deal on leaseloco went to Peugeot and the car is not too bad, very futuristic inside.

Link to deal is here

https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/peugeot/e-20...

Headline figure on a 1+35 is £292.60 for 5k miles, extra miles is 13ppm, car is nearly 40K and you can get the burnt orange for free as well, the leasing company offered to waive the arrangement fee without me asking. GT trim so very well specced and Nearly 209 mile range

Just waiting to see if they can delay till Feb 21as the gas guzzler v90 T5 will be going back

Thoughts?
Good lease deal for the car but can’t see that being worth anywhere near £40k. They won’t sell many

Just done the deed on a 118i M Sport auto for wifey.

In all my years of leasing I have never included maintenance but at just over £500 for three years it was a no brainier, replacement and tyre repair included.
