It's been said a thousand times but the Mercedes service charges are a joke!
But I thought you could get your car serviced anywhere now as long as they do a manufacturers service?
Nope. It’s up to the funder / lease company - if it’s MB themselves then guess where they want it serviced?

If you already extended, you won't be able to cancel extension, even though it starts in future. Your contract was already amended and cancelling it now will cost you standard fee of 55% remaining payments. I asked VWFS about it earlier this year.
That's a bummer.. I will have a crack anyway and report back
You are quite right PP.. the only way out early now I have (rather rashly) extended the lease is to buy my way out (not worth it) or try and replace it with another VAG group lease direct from the dealer (under the Privilege Partner scheme or some such).. This is a possibility as I was considering something like a Leon but I would imagine the better deals are via the lease companies and not the dealers direct. Ho hum, I may just have to keep the S4 for another year.. first world problem really as I do love the car.

Oh, well this could be awkward. I've had my current Golf serviced 3 times and only used VW for the first one. Other 2 have been manufacturers services at local garage. Am I up s**t creek then??

For anyone waiting on an A Class from Perth, my Dad's car turned up the other day as scheduled.

Hope the rest of you are getting your deliveries through.
Ordered with Arnold Clark in start of July, still waiting. Looks like won't even have it before the end of the year. Exactly what you want for the holiday period...no car.
The deal through Nicky?

That's who my parents ordered from as well.

I believe thats WRT warranty and exercising your consumer right outside of warranty. i.e. The manufacturer/retailer can't use the fact you used a third party to service against you should something go wrong with the car.

With a PCH you don't own the car and what you pay is based on the residual value (RV). So I believe the funder (owner) can reasonably say non manufacturer service history will impact the RV and therefore stipulate it must be services by an authorised centre.

Ofcourse that's not to say all funders will insist on this, some dont seem to care. So its worth asking the question if there's a big difference in price.

This looks like a good deal, <20% of P11D for 2 years / 10k miles:

BMW 320d M sport

I am after the new 3 series 320d m sport auto, ideally with tech and premium pack. What sort of figures should I expect on a 10k annual mileage

Any guidance would be much appreciated

Yeah, they do
VWFS page below suggests ‘approved’ places only (but with some suggestion of exceptions depending on your agreement).

That looks a bargain for someone who isn't bothered about badge and spec. Good find.

What does it matter if you did get the max discount?
I don't suppose it does matter if it was a lease, but a PCP deal would make me wonder how much my car would be worth after 4yrs of payments, and hoping to have some equity in the vehicle?
And would certainly worry me if I'd just purchased one with my hard earned!

If you're after a specific car with a specific specification then leasing isn't your answer. You'd be better going with a pcp or hp, plug your details into carwow and that'll give you an approximation of how much it'll cost you.
